We spent 5 days at the Sofitel Darling Habour and had a wonderful experience. The service at the Club lounge is outstanding. Elmo, the Senior Butler of an evening, is so professional and attentive to the guests. Elmo, you made our experience even more special, we thank you. 😃

Though the hotel itself is lovely (spacious rooms with an incredible harbour view), the experience I had with the Sofitel was anything but. Check-in was a disaster. I was part of a group that booked three individual rooms. When my friend received her room key, 30 minutes past check-in time, after a series of delays, we realised they had also allocated her to MY room. Which meant that my room key no longer worked! I found out, while being locked out. On checkout, I was charged $180 for valet parking, which I didn't use, because they had allocated my credit card to another person's room. That person had also paid for valet up front. When I called for support from the hotel, they charged that person AGAIN. Between us, we were charged $540 for parking one car! The staff did eventually sort it out, but only after three phone calls. In addition, I was charged TWICE for one buffet breakfast. For three days, I went back and forth with hotel staff over the phone, and email, sending screenshots of my bank account to prove that this was the experience I had. Finally, the staff member I spoke to said she would fix it and reverse the second charge. I clarified my key card three times. I never received that refund. Who knows which room they refunded it to, it certainly wasn't mine.

My son and I had a fabulous stay here and I can't think of a single negative aspect. To be fair, I did book a suite, which turned out to be an excellent decision. Being able to relax in a separate living area after my child's bedtime was vital for my sanity. The hotel's decor is comfortable and modern, the staff are friendly and the location is very convenient for doing kids' activities in Darling Harbour. I really appreciated being able to check in so early (I have Platinum Accor status) so we could get stuck into those activities. Lastly, I was delighted to find a pair of kid-sized spa slippers left out for us! So cute.

Rooms are a good size for a city like Sydney, stunning views of the harbour, great housekeeping and quick food front desk service. Lovely to just walk around or catch either public transport or excellent eateries and bars round the harbour.

We regularly stay at the Sofitel Darling Harbour Hotel. The club Millesime with its backdrop of sublime views, it is second to none in terms of service, food and accommodation. A special mention to Maggie in Club Millesime who always greets us with a warm smile at the reception area of the club! Also Tiffany the waitress at club Millesime is always friendly and provides such impeccable service. She makes us feel we are at home here! When we had dinner at the Atelier restaurant Gabriela was our waitress for the night and we are always so happy on how she looks after us. She always has some great food recommendations! She deserves a mention as she always entertains us whilst eating there! Its such a lovely hotel in a convenient location with great facilities to enjoy.
