Next time in Sofia I would choose to stay somewhere else !

Let’s start with a positive. Close location to airport, convenient shuttle service. Room was on the smaller side, but clean , including bathroom. Negative : our entry door to the room was hanging on one screw in the door hinge , so to close door to the room , I have to slam door several times, waking up all my neighbors. We didn’t want to go down to unfriendly reception desk to change the room because we were so tired. Hotel restaurant with one overwhelmed hostess working bar and restaurant at once, said to us, what they run out of several overpriced menu items including soup and beer. Next bust was advertised early breakfast. It was a real joke, and nothing else in my opinion . Just a sandwich and an apple in brown bag , no kidding , nothing else ! No coffee or tea . No mention of anything like water, juice , yogurt , cheese sticks or anything else ! We had travel a lot , and we saw early breakfast in the bag , but nothing like that . Irritated front desk attendant made us a cap of coffee and charge for it !!! So in my next visit to beautiful Bulgaria I choose a different hotel .

not good as can be

My experience from yesterday cleanliness is not good - there were hairs in the shower. At the reception the attitude is minimalist or unwilling to answer questions or be nice. They know that there will always be guests due to the location, so they behave like pig capitalists. Unlike other hotels in the chain that allow you to sit in the lobby - here it is an expensive restaurant IBIS SOFIA- collaborators with/by put huge advertisements at the entrance for "Top Rent Car" , who systematically sting and deceive customers- as I am one of the victim

The room was clean and tidy. There was only two sockets to use in the room and one was for the fridge. The bed was very hard and the mattress was very thin and you could feel the slates. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Thankfully we was only staying one night but we would not recommend this hotel. We ate in the restaurant but did not really like the food. The curry did not taste like curry, it was bland and the burger was dry, overcooked and chewy. We was charged for fries that we did not order. When I asked at reception, in the morning before our flight, I was told nothing can be done until the day staff arrived at 11:00am so we was out of pocket without anyone willing to refund me for the fries

Convenient to the airport. As typical with most İbis hotels the rooms are basic but modern. Boxed breakfast was a nice touch for the early departure and the 04:00 shuttle ride to the terminal. Within walking distance of rental car drop off but it requires a walk through an unlit path.
