This was a nice, clean hotel in the Old Town of Riga. Opposite a nice park and a short walk from the river. Our room was spacious. The breakfast was the best we have had so sat on this trip. Gym and sauna facilities and a lap pool. Happy hour in the bar in lobby.

As a frequent guest of Accor hotels, I have generally come to expect a certain standard of quality and service. However, my recent stay at this particular hotel in Riga was profoundly disappointing. While the location is reasonably convenient, being not far from the old city, the positives end there. To start with, the room was incredibly dark and far too small for a hotel that claims to have a 5-star rating. Despite requesting a king-sized bed, I was given two single beds pushed together, each with its own mattress. This setup was highly uncomfortable, as one person inevitably ends up lying on the gap between the two mattresses. The window in the room faced an internal extension of the building, further exacerbating the lack of natural light and contributing to a claustrophobic atmosphere. The room's decor was equally disheartening, with outdated furniture that was neither aesthetically pleasing nor comfortable. Even basic amenities failed to meet expectations, with a non-functioning TV remote control adding to the frustration. The one redeeming feature of the hotel was the breakfast, which was of decent quality. However, this alone cannot make up for the numerous shortcomings. Despite multiple requests to change rooms, the staff were uncooperative and unhelpful, leaving me feeling ignored and dissatisfied. As someone who travels frequently and has stayed in countless hotels, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms, toiletries & breakfast are standard. Location - it is accessible to the old town as also the park & freedom monument. What hurts is that you can't take your vehicle / taxi to the doorstep - so you need to walk with the luggage for say 50- 70 m. Average lobby. The computer in the lobby was not working for all the 3 days that I stayed here - Pullman standards??. Otherwise no grievances.

We stayed 3 nights in Pullman in October (2 adults and 2 kids) and chose it based on good location and swimming pool. 2X SUPERIOR ROOM I had booked 2 superior rooms directly from Accor website where they offered second room for a family with 50% discount. Since we were a family of 4, I assumed they would have located us next to each other but no, we were even in different floors (I had contacted the hotel beforehand and requested connecting rooms which they replied with confirmation). I asked the young lady at the front desk to check if there were 2 rooms on the same floor available (if we couldn’t get a connecting room). She used the “hotel is unfortunately full” card immediately which I could prove wrong just by logging into their website where there were plenty of availability. After that she said she wasn’t allowed to change the rooms. I asked her to call her manager. After that, we magically could get rooms on the same floor in 5 minutes. Connecting room we got the next day. The connecting rooms were spacious and nicely decorated but unfortunately poorly cleaned (plenty of dust and stains). Bathroom amenities were good and there was a nespresso machine in the room. AMENITIES AND LOCATION Narrow swimming pool and Sauna were located on the top floor. We used them every day and our kids enjoyed chilling on the lounge chairs. There was also a small gym and Spa but the Spa area was never open when we were there. Apparently you had to contact the reception if you wanted to get a massage. The hotel has a stylish lobby with a bar. We didn’t use the bar nor the restaurant so cannot comment those but can give a praise to trendy lobby area. Breakfast was included to our price and was good quality. Not perhaps as plentiful as in other 4-5* hotels but I could get my stomach full and the dishes I ate were tasty. Location is great, easy and short walk from sightseeing and restaurants. The only negative thing is the lack of parking facility since the area is restricted (due to governmental or similar buildings closeby). SERVICE Despite of the hassle in the check in, the front desk during other days worked well. In the breakfast area we had a bit of trouble getting our omelette ordered due to lack of English skills (not ours). All in all, a stylish 4* hotel with excellent location that could get half a star additional if the room had been cleaner and there hadn’t been the hassle with the service.
