10bitsnpieces Families - TripAdvisor review

Still waiting to check in after arriving at 2pm and being told it was few minutes away. Our arrival details were all confirmed and we’re Accor members of 15+ years. We won’t have got out of the waiting area or been able to change before needing to leave for a planned excursion shortly. The toilets in reception/art gallery area have no toilet paper - just an empty boxes of tissues lying around. I’ve needed to grab tissues from our car for kids to use toilet while waiting for 2 hours. We’ve stayed here before 15 years ago and knew it was basic, but this is really not ok for the $.

We had a two night stay . The room was a bit tired. The sink was cracked which we reported but was known already. A buffet dinner one night was expensive for what was on offer.

Disappointing

We were quite disappointed in our stay. We were rushed through our meals and there was often very limited options available. We were constantly asking for food to be replenished. An evacuation at 5am with no explanation what so ever was very annoying. Lunch was totally overpriced for what was offered- a small meat selection and limited salad . Staff tried to do the best but were clearly understaffed. One member of our group is gf and df and their was very little breakfast options for her. Bar closing early every night was also disappointing.

As a wearer of contact lenses I was disappointed to find no plug for the sink to rinse my lenses- having to use a coffee cup instead. We were woken at 5:30 am for a fire drill which was also very annoying. The evacuation site was pretty reticulum’s seeing we had to walk through buildings to get there- lucky it was just a drill or I would have been heading in another direction! I’m gathering it was a drill cause there was no explaination or communication whatsoever.
