Mercure Sheffield Parkway fails to meet any international standards, leaving much to be desired in terms of consistency and accountability. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that the staff lacked the necessary training and professionalism expected at a Mercure branch. The receptionist was unhelpful over the phone, displaying a passive-aggressive attitude instead of taking responsibility for their lack of customer service. When I escalated my concerns to the general manager, the response was similarly dismissive. Rather than acknowledging the shortcomings of their team, I was met with comments about the numerous signs regarding car registration. The reality is that the receptionist did not provide adequate information during check-in, nor were there clear instructions on how to register our car using the iPad conveniently placed nearby. As a result, I now find myself facing a parking fine and the potential for legal proceedings—an entirely preventable situation. This reflects not just poor service, but a complete lack of accountability from management. Comparatively, this Mercure branch is far below the bar set by its other locations globally. Save yourself the trouble and consider alternative accommodations that prioritize customer satisfaction and service consistency. I strongly urge corporate travelers, families, and anyone looking for a reliable hotel experience to steer clear of this establishment.

Check-in was easy and the staff were so friendly. The hotel has a lift. The room was very basic. The bed was comfortable enough and had nightstands on both sides but there were no power outlets--not good for when two people want to charge devices at bedside (boo!). A simple power hub in each nightstand would be so helpful for guests. There was an electric kettle, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom had a good-sized shower only, which, unfortunately, had mold in the grout--housekeeping needs to give that a good scrubbing. The shower water pressure was excellent! And the shower door actually worked to keep water off the bathroom floor. The wall-mounted magnifying mirror was a great touch! The WiFi was strong but not password protected (boo!). The hotel has a large open-air parking lot. I might stay here again if I'm on the area.

La camera era old style. La colazione scarsa, per nulla all'altezza del prezzo e dello standard della catena di appartenenza. La professionalità del personale scadente. Le attenzioni non adeguate allo standard della catena di apprtenenza.

Hotel confortevole, Comodo per una sosta di una notta durante un viaggio di lavoro. Personale cordiale. Pulito. Colazione standard , niente di eccezionale ma OK. Ristorante pienissimo, servizio un po' lento ma cordiale. Buon rapporto qualita'/prezzo.

Albergo di ripiego, in mezzo al nulla, prenotato da una pessima agenzia viaggi (RALLO, Mestre VE) per un viaggio che doveva avere come base Sheffield. Al di là della posizione scomoda, nulla a che vedere con l'altro Mercure Hotel di Sheffield centralissimo. Nulla da ridire se non fosse stato per i materassi troppo morbidi, pessimi per il benessere della schiena. Alla richiesta di poterli cambiare ci è stato risposto che non vi erano modelli differenti ma avrebbero provveduto a sistemare una tavola tra la rete e il materasso stesso. Peccato che non l'abbiano mai fatto!
