We decided to celebrate my bday in MYsore and GRAND MERCURE was the first name which poped up in my mind and we booked . I was super excited for this trip cz it was my first bday after marriage. The staff , location, food , hygiene everything was just unexpected during stay . If I remember the name ‘JAGATPATI ‘ was from FO he assisted us very calmly and nicely and let us felt like home . On the eve of my bday after 12 am I felt hungry so my husband ordered pasta . While eating we get to know that chef was not available in the Hotel due to COVID pandemic . Still they called them to cook for us at 1 am . It was highly recommended and lovely gesture by the Hotel . Last but not the least while check out we got a small gift by the Hotel who touched our soul and felt like how purely they caring and going extra mile to Surve and bringing a big smile on their guests . So I will recommend Grand Mercure Mysore to stay whenever and whoever is going to Mysore. Thank you so much for all your love and care . Good Luck team ☺️

Rooms are congested, cannot be comparable to 4 star Hotel(Sandesh the Prince),Parking Area is also small. Covid-19 safety measures are excellent in the Hospitality industry at every level, Food is fantastic as we could taste all types of cuisines. Swimming Pool& Gym are well maintained. Spa has only 2 rooms and spa rooms are tiny, should be spacious, there is no soothing music in the spa. Need to install Steam chambers in the spa.We enjoyed the stay. Staff response is bit slow..especially House Keeping. There was a huge rush in the weekends that the staff could not handle ,may be due to lack on manpower.

Disliked · -Front desk management of guest, it was very chaotic and there was no effort from staff to enforce social distance. Staff at front desk doesn't have official hotel uniform and only 1 system was working to check in guest resulting in longer wait and not so pleasant check in experience. - Room carpets stinks a bit - Breakfast spread was below average for the cost you pay and not that tasty as well. - Guest service from room doesn't answer the call and we had to carry our own luggage during checkout. - Overall an average hotel to stay and city has better option in this price range to offer

I had contacted before arriving if I can check in at 12 PM and I was told yes. However upon my arrival the person at the front office was very rude telling me that he can only give me room at 2PM because all the rooms that are available are being sanitized. I told him that atleast give me room at 1PM to which he denied. I asked if any rooms are available and he said yes there are and then I told him that I am an accor plus member and when available I can get an early check in. He denied. Later I demanded to speak to a manager and he denied that also. After becoming irate and demanding for 1 hr he called the manager who said that the systems are down. I told him that its not my problem and if systems are down why will you delay my check in. Instead you manually allocate a room for me and post your systems are back online you can assign the same to me. After which he provided me a room at 1:30 PM. This is the first time I had a very bad and rude experience.

Being 5 start hotel, there lot to expect. From checking process till check out. None of those were pleasent.Food menu was limited, served food was average. Best thing is your hotel doesn't have smoking rooms. 6th floor restaurant was not functional.

The location is good but the service levels or the competence of the people involved in running the hotel needs a lot of improvement. I am a seasoned traveller, having stayed in a tons of hotels worldwide I could easily predict the areas where they would fumble and they invariably did. The checkin was a mess with everyone having to wait 15 minutes because there was only one system which was working and only one person could do checkin. I took the all inclusive package but had to remind multiple times at multiple places that I have a package a d need not be charged. The checkout was clumsy as well. I had aksed for the breakfast to be packed at a certain time and even though I was late by 30 minutes the breakfast was not packed. The choice is good is mediocre at best. Overall every aspect right from the room, the choice of toiletries, the service gave the vibe of a very average hotel which is still grappling with getting things sorted

Management seems to have run out of money !

Please note, I had provided the same feedback on the guest wi-fi while I was in the hotel and had got a call from the Duty Manager (Mr.Pushpender) who said that "I completely agree with each and every word you have written & appreciate how detailed your review is. Please accept my apology" Management attitude My 2nd stay at this hotel. 1st one being in Dec (21-23). Hotel was following a lot protocols and I liked it because of this. So decided to book the same property again. This time, most of the protocols no longer existed and it seemed like the management had run out of money to follow them. Only other option being they thought 'we can relax, jabs are out, Covid's gone', which would make their intelligence, questionable to say the least. Covid precautions Lifts had toothpick to ensure no touch - gone, not there this time. Housekeeping team were wearing gloves last time, this time some were using it as a chin protector and some just ditched it. Pen sanitization during check in/out, this time the front desk staff would just hand you the same pen that someone else might have used. No 24hr room santization jig this time. The bags were sprayed with some 'santization' liquid while checking in. Best one, there was a hand sanitizing station next to the lift in the lobby. IT WAS NOT WORKING FOR THE ENTIRE 2 DAYS OF MY STAY, no one cared to check ! Just about 20 meters from the front desk. GRAND ! Room & Housekeeping I was given #202 and #204. I guess no one had even checked the condition of #202's bathroom. It is way beyond it sell by date. The shower curtain was filthy and looked straight out of a cheap highway motel. When I told this to the floor housekeeping manager (gentleman), he said - I know sir and I am sorry. We are in process of changing the shower curtains. THEN WHY LET OUT A ROOM WITH A FILTHY BATHROOM ! The floor of the shower cubicle door and the shower cubicle glass were questionable. The floor had rust marks where the door swivels and the glass had hard water stains. The toilet jet was another one bestowed with hard water stains and months of ignorance. The bathroom door had hair strands on the hanger. Does someone check the fresh linen which is used in the room ? The duvet cover stinks ! At least it did for use both rooms both nights. All in all if this is the standard of Accor, then thanks but no thanks ! Restaurant - Service The only GREAT thing about the hotel - the restaurant staff. Special thanks to Ms. Bridget, Mr. Gaurav and Mr. Sanjib. They were extremely attentive, caring and made sure that all the guests in the restaurant feel comfortable even if it means walking that extra mile. Overall 'Disappointment' will be an understatement.

Our stay was very comfortable, all protocols were followed, central location for sight seeing, food is served hot and is very delicious. Special thanks to Miss Durga and Mr Naresh for excellent service in the restaurant. Over all it was a great stay and I would highly recommend this place for a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
