1) I felt that rooms are quit small compared to any other hotel. 2) Also I was allotted room no 1206 and there was no room for natural light in that particular room.

Overalls it was great stay, but one thing I don't like. I forgot my mobile charger in room during checkout and when I reach my home that time I knew so i called to reception to check my charger in room, but receptionist told me he check and thare was no charger, and I remember I forgot that inside room. So i want to just tell you it's not good when you run Baroda's best hotel so you have to be honest.

We liked the stay at Grand Mercure however the service was a bit slow for housekeeping etc . Also we had asked breakfast timimgs which were not communicated properly. We almost missed it Buffet dinner was good

Zero maintenance, the washroom was not clean, the jet didn’t work, the AC vents had a huge layer of dust. The lights are all dirty and few of them are not working. It looks like things have not changed for 20 years. The linen provided is worse than what Indian Railways would provide, probably being reused beyond its life. I showed all these things to the duty manager Dhananjay and all he could say was we will upgrade if you extend the stay. But an absolutely horrible stay, expected a decent stay because it was mentioned as 5 start. Never going back, the pictures are updated on google maps review. If you want I can send it on email as well.

The Lobby seems too noisy and jam with people loitering around. The restaurant traffic seems unbecoming as even the open meetings are held inside the restaurant by the companies. Cannot compare 4star/5star level of any foreign brand with Indian standards.

Grand Mercure is a brand well known in the international hospitality segment. In India, the brand value is down in comparison with any other international chain in a foreign country. The reason is just the people who are servicing and people who are utilizing services. 1. The class of people who are unaware of discipline, decorum, and manners to be kept and observed. 2. The Service Crew, also engaged in multiple activities and was not able to deliver good and honest services. 3. The Management level- no observation or control to improve. Remedy: The Liquor shop to be shifted to some other corner. The Bakery Counter is to be relocated to the restaurant. The company meeting in a restaurant is to be stopped. The restaurant door is to be shut in order to restrict noise filtering outside in the lobby. The lobby should have distant seating arrangement.

Not a pleasant experience this time

When I reached my room upon checking in, I saw a staff showing my room to 3 potential guests. This was not expected especially during COVID19. I didn't make any fuss and settled in the same room and locked the door, however after a couple of hours someone opened my door using a master key, when I screamed the person left immediately. The guests were very noisy and room walls didn't provide any sort of insulation to the noise outside or next door.
