We went to Metz for 2 days and decided for the Mgallery Hotel. It was very well located next to a park in a historic environment. Definitely a very nice place. City center with a many restaurants, cafes and bars was just a 10 minute walk. Also the cathedral was just 15 minutes away. Staff was very friendly and rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was very good with good choices.

We stopped by Metz on our way from CDG to Colmar and are very happy with our choice of hotel. Our room was very large and well equipped. We had a delicious lunch and the breakfast was great. The staff was very accommodating and gave us travel weary travelers access a little earlier than check-in. Parking just out front.

So good we went twice! Once on our drive down to the Alps and again on our way back to the UK. Spotless. Huge Rooms. Fascinating conversion of a barracks. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Charming staff. Easy parking. Interesting town as well. And a general living next door who we did not meet but we admired his Disney castle on the other side of the square. Highly recommend.

Best location ever for enjoying the center of Metz and the river. Easy walk from the train station. Really interesting building for a hotel! Surrounded by parks and historic buildings plus outdoor art installations of all kinds (sidewalk drain grilles that have music coming out of them, for one!). Wish we could have stayed longer.

Good stopover

We found the hotel the perfect stopover location on our way to Southern France. We appreciate the proximity to the highway and the great location in town. A lovely park surrounds the hotel. Taking your dog along is easy. Parking in front of the hotel is a challenge but there is public parking in a parking garage close by. We also like the great restaurant in the hotel. The rooms are comfortable and quite big with a Nespresso machine and a water cattle. We also like the concept of not having a proper reception desk. That concept, however, only works with front desk staff being committed, interested, and having an open approach to guests. We found the women working at the reception were more interested in themselves than their guests.
