Perfect room, disappointing breakfast

It wasn’t an excellent stay as it should be in 5-stars chain hotel because there were some “but” during our stay. ROOMS: stylish and good-sized rooms. Very comfortable bed, sofa, working desk. There are bathroom and a shower. The room is equipped with a teapot and coffee machine, minibar (for extra payment), safe. Bathrobes and all bathroom necessities are provided. LOCATION: perfect centric location. FOOD: breakfast (6.30-10.30am) was very disappointing: we’ve been there at 10am, nobody welcomes you and majority of plates were really empty, nobody refill them. The choice of dishes isn’t big, they make eggs your way (looking as if they were being forced) and you can find a good variety of cakes and fresh juices. There were no green tea even after request, coffee machine was asking for adding water - nobody cares, you have to find somebody who can help you. FACILITIES: 1) good wi-fi but sometimes it should be reconnected, 2) spa, 3) gym 24h, 4) restaurants: coffee spot, lobby bar, restaurant on the 15th floor and rooftop bar STAFF: totally uninterested in your convenience. For example, no attention to your requests during the breakfast.

You have to come!

Good location - stylish modern rooms :) Check was easy staff is good. Bathroom amenities were good rooms were clean and tidy

Quirky place with friendly staff. Room was great with no issues. Dinner menu was limited. And HOT pancakes and waffles would have won me over. Central location.

Stepping into the lobby, the decor and setting was stunning and it smelled absolutely wonderful in there! Usually at a 5 star hotel it would be offered for my large suitcase and carry on bag to be taken up to my room by staff whilst I checked in, but that wasn’t offered on this occasion, but that’s okay, it wasn’t too much of a hassle taking them myself. My room was lovely and clean and the giant bathtub was a huge bonus, plus I could see the Sky Tower from my window. Room service was speedy and the food came hot and in generous portions. The buffet breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen! I am a coeliac so the gluten free table was hugely appreciated, and the fresh squeezed orange juice machine and other juicing machine was such a nice touch. Staff in the restaurant were so helpful and there was a wonderful view out over the harbour and the islands. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, however the sauna didn’t seem to be working as it wasn’t hot. Overall a really wonderful stay, the only thing the room was missing was a hair dryer, it had everything else you could want!
