As a solo traveler, I had a mixed experience at Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort. Let me break down the pros and cons to help fellow travelers make an informed decision. Pros: - Located in a quieter area away from central Pattaya - Excellent transportation: frequent baht buses make it easy to reach anywhere - Terminal21 shopping mall just 5-7 minutes' walk away - 7-Eleven right outside for quick necessities - Decent workspace in room with desk and chair - Location actually works well thanks to convenient transport options Areas for Improvement: - Cleanliness needs attention, particularly the room floors - Busy lobby with frequent elevator delays - Predominantly family-oriented atmosphere, which may not suit business travelers Tips: - Baht buses run regularly, so don't worry about the distance from central Pattaya - Consider the location a plus if you prefer quieter surroundings - Terminal21 provides plenty of dining and shopping options nearby - Budget about 10-15 minutes by baht bus to reach central Pattaya While the hotel offers some conveniences and a more relaxed location, it falls short of the Mercure brand standard I expected. The workspace setup was adequate, but the overall experience was impacted by cleanliness issues and the busy atmosphere.

We stayed at the Mercure for 5 days . We were cery happy . Our doorman Phot was so helpful and friendly with lots of helpful knowledge. Our cleaner Bird was excellent. We had 3 rrooms booked and Bird was so friendly , kind and went over and above on our rooms. Even when one of my children was sick he helped us so much with water towels etc . Definitely will be back

Well located hotel. Reasonable price. Beds pillows pools were sensational. Hotel needs a spruik up though as rooms and surroundings looking tired and the prepaid breakfast was average at best (pre-paid breakfast for 5 days but only utilised once) Cheers

I've read a lot of mixed reviews about this place. I stayed here for 7 nights (21/10 - 27/10). I stayed on the 9th floor overlooking the pool as well as the city of Pattaya. The room was a bit small, but when travelling alone, for me this is no issue. The room was clean, with really no issues. The cleaning staff did their job well. The reception staff were good, as were other members of staff who were friendly and accommodating. I only ate breakfast there a couple of times and it was a small choice of things to choose from. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, as well as to Terminal 21, bars and places to eat. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would easily stay there again.

Good location not far to the sea and shopping mall, the room cleanliness, staff service mind. I appreciate check-in and check-out process quite quickly. The breakfast high quality and variety. My family so happy and we will return for sure.
