Mercure Wagga Wagga 4 stars

I booked 2 nights with a prepaid rate, 21.11.-23.11.23. My flight from Brisbane on the 21.11.23 was cancelled by Qantas and Qantas booked me on a flight a day later, 22.11.23. I informed the hotel immediately ( morning if 21.11.23) that I would arrive a day later and asked if I can cancel the first night. This delay was out if my control, but the hotel refused to let me cancel the first night as it was a prepaid rate. They were very blase and arrogant and did not care that the 1 day delay was out of my control. When we arrived we were told the breakfast would be served from 6:30 am the next day. Breakfast was included in my rate. When we attended breakfast at 9:15 am the next morning we were told that breakfast had already closed at 9 am, noone told us before and noone pffered us at least a coffee or similar! In summary we stayed one night without breakfast for the price of 2 nights with breakfast. I am an Accor plus member since 2006 and have never been treated so badly before. This was completely unacceptable and more than disappointing. I will not be back at Mercure Wagga Wagga and I am happy to inform Accor about this and also keen to leave a review that reflects my treatment by the hotel accordingly. Apartment room was larger than expected. Unfortunately, the cleaning wasn't up to standard.

Lovely room, fabulous beds. In the morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast. I asked for two cups of coffee, from a lady on the cappuccino machine. "Well you can have them here, or over there," she said. I went where she indicated and saw an instant coffee se up, so I went back and asked her for the coffees she was making. "If you like," she said. They never arrived, so I had to go and ask another person for the coffee. I had wo pieces of toast for breakfast, and my husband had a full breakfast. When I went to check out I explained that I had only ha two pieces of toast. "Where did you cook the toast?," I was asked. I explained that I cooked them on the big toaster. "Then you've had a full breakfast" was the reply andI was charged $36 dollars for it. The most expensive toast in the world. Will I be back? Never.

The staff and cleanliness of this motel was a pleasure to stay at.thank you
