We arrived for a weeks chill after 3 weeks touring northern India. We stayed in Taj Hotels throughout the trip and booked this hotel from the photos and u tube videos. I have never been to hotel that is so mislead by media photos,,, We arrived at 11pm and was shown a duplex room. We could not believe how filthy and worn out the room was. Everywhere you looked there was dirt and grubby hand marks. The supplied water was in un-sealed bottles with the rust from the cap coming off onto the top of the bottle,,,undrinkable. The bed was stained and pillows under the pillow-cases very dirty and also stained. We had to sleep in the room but complained to manager and was promised a new room after mid-day the next day. My wife could not sleep and spent the night looking for a new hotel. We got up at 7am and tried the restuarant for breakfast but decided not to eat anything as all the food was open and people touching the food with there hands,flies everywhere and the general hygiene was not of a good standard. They couldnt even get me a Latte as the mug it was served in was chipped and it was served with 20mm of coffee in the bottom and very cold. The second room offered was not much better and i refused it. They then offered me a suite as an upgrade and this was not much better, dirty as well, as after seeing the dirty swimming pool with missing tiles on the floor, broken sunbeds, and ripped and missing sun shades. The pool was so dirty with cigerette butts and plastic straws strewn all over the water. We found another Hotel around the corner ( The Seashell ) and this was so lovely although we had to pay another £1000 to stay there ( worth every penny ). To top it all i still had the key for the original room and after i said i would tripadvser it they had 5 people in the room painting and deep cleaning the room. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL

Nice hotel, courteous staff, food options for breakfast are generous and mostly everything tastes nice. Love the pool side area with a secluded quiet seating area behind it. The duplex suite is really nice for long stays. We would recommend this hotel for anyone who is okay staying in the Candolim area.

This is an awesome place to hang out with family and unwind. I had a wonderful time here, and the overall experience was excellent. The breakfast at Food Exchange is truly fabulous, offering a variety of delicious options that cater to everyone’s taste. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit. A special shout-out to Raju for going above and beyond to make our time memorable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great hospitality, amazing food, and a welcoming atmosphere!

Excellent hospitality by the crew. I will suggest everyone that u should visit them once u plan ur trip to Goa .. The resort has a calm ambience and very serene environment.. Their food is finger licking and awesome in few words and special thanks to Raju and Sumanta .. They were right next to u when u wish for anything.. A special thanks to the entire Team of Novotel..
