The Sebel Kiama Harbourside 4 stelle

we enjoyed our time very much at the Sebel hotel. checkin was very smooth and effortless easily accessible carpark. gorgeous views of the ocean from our room. would happily stay again. great location

We stayed for two nights and it was beautiful. Room nice and big and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Property in very convenient part of Kiama Will stay there again when next we want to go to South Coast

Booked ten weeks in advance for a king room using a Hotelgift voucher valued at $400, had to pay $1 extra. Arrived today (18 February) and was told at reception the room had harbour glimpses on the 1st floor. Got to the room only to discover it was an “accessible” room, not too sure where the glimpses are. Went back to reception to inform them that was not adequate, but was told that is what I booked. And surprise, surprise, no other rooms available. The email notification I have from hotelgift.com clearly states “1 double king size bed / room only”. As there is no refund on the voucher, there was no other option than to accept it. Reception later called to offer breakfast free of charge. I know I have been ripped off, but not sure if by hotelgift.com or Sebel. One thing is for sure, I won’t be using either ever again.

We have been here now quite a few times and it has never let us down. The cooperation and the service provided by all of the staff is first class, professional, warm and friendly. We are Accor Plus Members and Accor doe have a clunky system, however Sebel seem to be able to over-ride this, which is fantastic. The ability to be flexible is admirable. Yves, the restaurant attached to the hotel is also very, very good with great service, good food and reasonable prices. The Sebel is one of our favourites.

Took my family here for a getaway. Female staff member on check in was very abrupt but thought nothing of as I thought she may be having a bad day. My next interaction with her was when I went down and asked for a lighter to light candles on my daughter’s birthday cake. She said very rudely that we don’t have lighters to guests and went back to whatever is was she was doing before I came down. Rooms are below average. 3 stars at best. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. 1 AC unit in the living room is meant to cover the bedroom as well as a day room with 2 single beds in it. Totally useless on a warm night. Shower is small with no pressure. I stayed here before and don’t remember it being this bad.
