Nice resort but needs to lift service

The resort has nice facilities, such as a generous sized rooms, a pool, restaurant, a spa, tennis courts and direct access to the beach. But, it was let down by service and lots of small disappointments. The bath in the room doesn’t have any soap, bubble bath or salts. The room service was average and the restaurant food only good and nothing more. The pool is crowded and one EV slow charger. Also had problems galore with Accor ALL membership benefits being denied and lots of back and forth that failed to resolve it - so denied all status tier benefits!

Had a Lakeview Villa, 1 day after our stay on special $200 cheaper Room was tired, furniture very weathered with timber tops cracking. Deck had rotten board, with bird poo on the glass Had Wagyu for dinner, ordered medium came medium rare was tough and stringy. Did not taste like waygu I have had in the past, quite disappointing

Disappointing stay for a 5-star hotel and for the service without smile and kindness The resort itself is beautiful, but our experience was very disappointing. The room was outdated, the staff often unfriendly, and we were never escorted to our table. We were not informed about the special Christmas lunch on the 25th, nor that the 25th and 26th were public holidays and that nothing would be open. We even had to eat a club sandwich at a gas station on Christmas Day, which is unbelievable for a 5-star hotel. The noise from children in the adjacent villas early in the morning was not mentioned. Only a few staff members, like a young man at reception and Suzanne, were friendly. For the price paid, the service and facilities are not up to standard. Not recommended.

Dear Paris Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry that aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations and that you weren’t able to enjoy Christmas lunch with us. We did communicate to all guests in advance about the Christmas Day luncheon, and some tables were available for our in-house guests. In-room dining was also operating, and a menu was available at the pool bar—our apologies if this information was missed. On Boxing Day, all resort areas were open with no restrictions, and we’re sorry for any confusion. We really appreciate your kind words about our resort’s beauty and the staff who made a positive impression, such as Suzanne and the young gentleman at reception. We’re also excited to share that a refurbishment of our villas is planned later this year to enhance comfort and the overall guest experience. Kind regards, Raelene

I stayed for two nights over Christmas, my first stay at the hotel, overall the stay was marred by a number of issues, most of which have also been stated in previous reviews. Shame nothing is being done about issues so often raised. Cake and Ants However, in this instance, these issues were enhanced in ways not seen since “Fawlty Towers”. I ordered one of their Christmas cakes and as requested this was left in my room. However, ants found it before I did so I it returned to the front desk asking for a full replacement for me to collect on departure, this was acknowledged. So you can imagine my dismay when I returned to my room sometime later to find the replacement cake back in the room, now also covered in ants. The cake was finally replaced at checkout ( I was told I can’t cancel the order) The Cake while well-presented was quite dry. Food and Dining Notwithstanding the cake incident, my room service order of Chicken Caesar Salad while timely, did not come with Chicken. Breakfast Buffet spread confusingly around the place, with service in the only restaurant being hap hazard and rushed, and no I did not like being seated as a single diner behind a pole. The Dinner menu limited and provided on “dog eared” single piece of flimsy paper. Neither Main dish ordered was in any way remarkable. Rooms / Outdoors Poorly maintained, chipped and scratches in old furniture , lots of cobwebs on the lakeside patio and surrounds. Rubbish along the pathways etc (see photos) In summary, the five star location is spoiled by a 3 star offering and service. Simply not worth the price paid.

The room was neat and clean. Service was acceptable overall. Housekeeping did not occur until 4 pm the following day. This fell short of reasonable expectations of a 5-star resort. The resort did not meet the five star standard advertised but was priced as such. Appreciated that the resort upgraded the room, which made me wonder how much more money I would have wasted if I actually booked that room. Breakfast was disappointing and below a five star standard. Food lacked flavour. Several items appeared to be supermarket products that were reheated. Presentation was basic. Dinner was excellent on both occasions. Flies were a major issue across the resort and had a serious negative impact on the holiday. No fly deterrents were in place. Guests received no warning. Management of this issue was inadequate. The best part of the holiday was the secluded private beach. The setting offered privacy and quiet and stood out as the only positive aspect of the stay. I hope the resort does not send an apology. Payment has already been made and no refund will be offered, so a wasted effort. An apology would not change the outcome. Based on this experience, a return visit will not occur.
