On short notice due to some personal urgency we needed to find a hotel convenient located with good connection to public transportation. So we found the Naha Mercure and were received very professional. Members of the reception/reservation very supportive in booking/extending our stay… . Nice and big rooms available. No consideration for unexpected circumstances

We had a booking for 3 rooms in five people. Because of a death in the family 3 people wouldn't be able to join the stay anymore. On these unexpected circumstances we requested for a cancellation or change in the booking. Even with proof they did not make themselves available to any flexibility and 2 of the rooms went unused. All other hotels and airlines were very understanding of the situation and cancelled the reservation or provided vouchers free of charge. This was the only business that did not care at all about the situation. Maybe they never went through a similar situation and because of that they can't sympathize with my group situation. I wouldn't recommend a stay here as they do not have the minimum requirements of human touch that so many other businesses in Japan and other countries do.

loved this hotel! It was right beside the train station. Mark, the receiptionist my first contact in this hotel was super nice and helpful. Our housekeeping staff were super respectful and also detailed in their cleaning. My only complaint is that the water doesn't get as hot as it does in other hotels I've experienced in Japan. Breakfast was good for the price and with the Accor All member's discount it was well worth it. The free lounge and coffee for members was also really nice. I just wish they also provided coffee in the rooms.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in January, 2024. The location of the hotel was excellent. It was super clean and the breakfast was really good. The view from our window was great! The staff was very helpful. We hope that we will come back again.

Certain staff not so friendly and not helpful

Certain staff were not very friendly. Upon arrival at the hotel, it was raining and with a baby in tow, I asked the front desk if they could help shift some luggages from the car into the hotel. The staff said that they do not have a bellman and asked if I was alone. Upon discovering that I was not alone, he mentioned that we could do the shifting ourselves (2 adults - including the 1 driver - with 1 baby). He eventually helped out just a little bit but I thought this was really lousy service - there was absolutely no one else around requiring his assistance at the front desk plus there was another staff there should anyone suddenly need it. Also, it was a short walk from the car and I expected him to just be able to help out. He wasn’t local Japanese. This really gave a very poor first impression. Location is good as you just have to cross a small road to get to the Tsubogawa station (there’s an elevator and then you walk across a sheltered link bridge). Trains towards the airport run as early as 5.47am and it’s just 2 stops away via the Yui Rail. There is a weighing scale provided at the front desk which you can use to weigh your luggage. They also do not help do advanced taxi reservations and can only book a taxi on demand (10-15 mins beforehand). The breakfast at 1800¥ was not worth it. There was little variety. Parking is quite expensive at 1000¥ a night. It utilises this car lift system so it’s not like you can easily go to your car.

Thank you for staying at our hotel. Please understand that our hotel does not have a bellhop, so depending on the time of day we may not be able to assist our guests.
