Room was good, staff friendly, disappointing restaurant,better off eating at the Shingle Inn located within complex, food there is very good with a great variety and good selection of menus. Good venue close to town, had three night stay.

To say I am disappointed with my recent visit to the Mantra in Gladstone is an understatement. Lots of changes there since my last stay 2 weeks previous. If you want to securely park your car now cost $15 per night, if you want to eat in the Bistro now cost $42.90 per person and oh you must book. If you want to have breakfast in the Bistro you must book. Book for 2 nights and your nightly room charge differ, not by much just around $30??? The staff at breakfast were very abrupt and very unhelpful, cause I didn't have a booking. I was not informed at any time during booking the accommodation or on arrival that I needed to book for breakfast. And oh the food was also very ordinary, dinner in the Bistro, breakfast in the Bistro and the Shingle Inn no better. Try the Shingle Inn pumpkin you surely will be disappointed. All adds up to won't be going back any time soon, I have been staying there for many years but last visit has put paid to that happening again.

Good morning robf12017 I am sorry to hear that the changes to the property are not to your satisfaction. As a very regular guest there are components that have changed recently including the ability to park undercover in a secure car park. This does come at a fee now for Mantra guests, where Peppers guests' gain this as part of their package, but understand that it is shock to the system when advised of a charge for the first time. Bookings for the restaurant have always been required and even more so now that we have an additional 32 rooms to cater for within the two outlets. The price for dinner has increased for the first time in a number of years, but now has the live cooking station both of a morning for omelettes as well as dinner cooking noodles/pasta depending on the evening. The attitude provided by the staff is far from acceptable and will be discussed. Happy to discuss further your stay if you wish. I do hope through time you will provide us with the opportunity in welcoming you back to the hotel in the future. Kind Regards Craig

It was really a nice stay in the hotel. The girl who was working at night ( I forgot her name may be tayler) she was very helpful. The hotel was very clean and tidy from inside and outside. Ev charger is available in the parking which is great. Big parking area.

Totally unprepared for how wonderful this place is- don’t be deceived by the outside appearance. The Mantra at Gladstone is high class, well set out and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was stylish, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room rate was affordable and was great value for money . The cafe (Shingle Inn) makes great coffee . The location is convenient and parking is easy. We will definitely come back. Highly recommend. Thank you 🙏

The team are proud of working here and certainly shows when they gain comments of how welcoming and friendly they are to guests. Nice place for a night

Great room, but the restaurant offering was very poor. Previously, you offered a table service restaurant with great food. Now, you have a buffet with cold and tasteless offerings, you have to go to the bar yourself to order drinks. The only bonus dinner was being able to pay extra to self cook a very tasty steak. Breakfast was equally bad. Standards have reduced significantly since previous visits
