Bryan was a very attentive and kind server. I was at the salad bar trying to figure out where the rest of the food was, haha, and Bryan came over to explain that it was a limited menu with some options, and then I placed my order right there with him. He did a great job!

The rooms are clean and quiet. Location is excellent for cultural activities (Pça da Liberdade) and for meetings, etc. A shout out to Paulo at the Desk. He was super attentive, efficient, and kind. And he's multilingual. Chef Alessandra's cuisine is healthy, simple, and delicious :) We'll miss her dinners.

Hotel sells much more than it can deliver

The location is great, but there are a number of similar hotels around with better services for the same rates. Despite the very polite personel, the hotel finishing is very poor (carpet, curtains etc), with less than adequate commodites: there are no power sources close to the bed so you cannot charge your cell overnight while having it handy, the TV only shows free/basic channels (4 religious and Globo), the shower door was broken, they do not offer hand towels, and won't lend you a cup or glass if you need it.

Avoid this hotel. Plates for diner and breakfast are not always clean. Room not really confortable or clean. Very noisy as walls are quite thin. Nobody speak English. Impossible to have my invoice…. One waitress was very angry as I could not understand her.. Hôtel to avoid…

Expected a bit more even for a spartan Ibis

A bit disappointed. There was no security personnel on duty when during my check in a stranger entered the lobby soliciting money. The person was convinced to leave the premises only after some harsh words and offenses, however he went to my car with the same purpose in mind. In addition, I opted for the breakfast in the hotel, but I'd have preferred to take it outside instead. The scrambled eggs were poorly prepared, the papayas not ripe enough, for all three days of my stay. The room security key is the slide in magnetic type, that can easily fail, requiring several attempts to open the door. I noticed other guests with the same issue. But I had to request a room change for a lower floor, due to a very annoying sound like a loud transformer coming from the 18th floor (the technical room). It was resonating to the 16th and 15th floor. I got rid of it by staying in another room on the 12th floor in the middle of the aisle. Location, cleanliness, friendly staff are the ups on this stay.
