Roach motel, dirty filthy outdated, should be shut down in reality

This place is ultra filthy and the rooms stunk like hell, there was mould everywhere, spider webs, dirty couches, dusty filthy furniture, ruined our family holiday with their photoshopped pictures, don’t be fooled there are much much better options out there

We want to assure you that we regularly have a professional pest control service to maintain the property, and while we are located in a bushland area, we do our best to manage the natural environment. We also take your comments regarding cleanliness seriously and will be investigating the concerns you raised about the rooms. Mould, spider webs, and dirty furniture are not acceptable, and we will ensure that these issues are addressed immediately. Better options for the price!

Rooms were spacious but that’s about it. Queen bed mattress ensures you and your partner roll to the middle. No spare toilet paper? Surely you could add a couple instead of having to call house keeping every time! Oh and it may take “15-20mins so I can get you guys a bandaid cause I’m by myself at reception”. Place was fully booked so clearly you would have staff? Under staffed for breakfast. Consistent wrong coffee orders brought to the table…can’t find cups for juice so you need to go to the bar and grab mugs or glasses from there. Wait for eggs 20mins at a time. No omelette station. “Sorry, run out of cereal” (at 930am)?! No honey?! Reception advises NYE (31/12) you will get the Accor membership discounts (also called ahead 2 weeks prior with the same messaging)…clearly wasn’t the case for breakfast lunch or dinner…educate your staff to ensure there are no unnecessary arguments with other staff trying to do the right thing (discount applied for breakfast only as a compromise so thank you Tim!). Under staffed at the bar and dinner “service”. 0 service to your table except for dropping food off. At least the food (dinner) was good though - compliments to the chef. Pool area requires a tag to get in/out…security is good (granted for the pool) but each room gets 1 tag…doesn’t work well for families unless you’re all together. Pool area does not have any facilities either ie to buy drinks, food, water etc. You need to go to the main building for that. $6 for a can of coke (awesome guys!!). Recommend stocking up from Coles if you’re staying awhile. These might sound like 1st world problems but I’m sorry, you’re paying a premium for a “4 star Accor premise”…..1st world problems shouldn’t exist here…4 stars? Really?… PLEASE. Been to plenty Mercure hotels and other hotels under the Accor banner with “you get what you pay for”…clearly not the case here…this place was by far the worst experience…we will actively not recommend it…for the price we paid, we would have been better off staying at Sofitel in a major city over the NYE period. Won’t be back.

Fabulous staff, great food and service and the loveliest serene evening overlooking the golf course and lake……what’s not to love about this hotel. It’s a fabulous little overnight when avoiding the peak hour traffic heading back into Sydney after a long drive from the north.

We took a last minute weekend trip to Mercure koorindah waters. The resort itself is lovely, the rooms clean and roomy. The staff are what makes this place a great experience. Friendly, accomodating and really make you feel welcome. Special mention to Roisin, Larry and Gloria who all went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Will be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with friendly staff and fabulous amenities. Ainsley and Paul ❤️

So you think running water is included in the package you are wrong My wife and I stayed at Kooindah Waters Mercure in May 2024 and had a great time with great staff. We had massages at Wildfire Day Spa and it was all great. We decided to go back we booked the hotel for 25th,26th,27th and the Day Spa for the 26th of August 2024 All was good we arrived on Sunday checked in paid all was good Monday 26th we went for our treatment, a magnesium bath and a massage it was great, really great so far everything is great the only problem is I got attitude from some of the staff the night before but all was good. We got back to our room I went shopping, my wife got into the shower NO WATER HOT OR COLD in the whole room She rang reception and was told that there was a planned maintenance shut down and the water would be off till 3.00pm We at no stage was told by anyone that this was going to happen not when we booked not when we got a call on the Saturday a day before we got there, NOT when we checked in and paid full price When I got back, I went to reception where two ladies were on the desk one of the ladies was the one that checked us in. One lady said sorry the other said it was my fault because I did not read the A5 sign that was on the counter which was not on the counter when I went to reception. I was told that the gym had water but it was across the carpark and 180metres away from our deluxe room with no water I asked to speak to the manger he was not there He would be in the next day The water came back around 4.00 pm COLD water only and the toilet cistern did not fill I rang reception at approx. 4.30 still no hotwater and no water to the toilet We were told the hot water would be another hour, it came back on at approx. 5.15pm They said they would send a maintenance man with a bucket to our room for the toilet Just before he arrived the toilet cistern filled with water and he turned up without the bucket We spoke to the manager the next day he said he would look into it I did not hear from him until we checked out he said that if we stayed there again he could help us But with the attitude of 33.3% of the staff not being good and the service we got we decided to decline the offer If Kooindah waters can’t provide a room that works and staff that want to be there we don’t want to be there we are going somewhere else but we will be back because for the second time WILDFIRE DAY SPA was awesome
