Great apartments in a fab location!

We stayed here while visiting Maggie Island for 3 nights. The apartments are located a stones throw away from the ferry terminal so you are off the ferry and checked in to your hotel within 5 minutes. The hotel is regularly visited by the local rock Wallabies and they are fascinating to watch as the race across the rocks chasing each other and looking for food. Whilst lounging by the pool we got talking to a lovely bloke called Billy he turned out to be the partner of Trudy who checked us in, They are a lovely couple, always offering tips on where to visit and what times were the best to go. They gave us really good advice on the best restaurants on the island and Trudy even let us stay by the pool on our last day as w were booked onto a late return ferry. All in all a great place to stay and run by a lovely couple. I would definately recommend staying there whilst on the island.

Our apartment was ocean-facing and on the 2nd floor, wow, what a view, looking out to sea, watching the waves, the birds, the eagles, the boats and the rock wallabies. Yes, directly below our balcony, the wallabies gathered each afternoon to see what morsels might come their way. What a joy. The apartment was comfortable, with big sofas, a big breakfast bar, a TV, internet and all the facilities you need. But the star of the show is Trudy, who is the manager of the site. She was kind and generous, checking us in and checking us out, clearly a seasoned professional, and the Mercure is lucky to have her. We would be lost without her help. We stupidly left our passports hidden in the apartment and only realised once we arrived at our next destination five hours later, Trudy made sure that the passports were retrieved from the apartment and handed off the next day to a courier. Honestly, without her help, we would have been lost. Good job to the Mercure and thank you Trudy for being so kind and helpful.

スクールホリデー中に2泊3日の家族旅行でマグネティック島を訪れ、Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Islandに滞在しました。 Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Islandはタウンズビルの沖合約8kmに浮かぶマグネティック島のNelly Bay地区にあるAccor Hotels系列のアパートメントタイプのアコモデーションです。 宿泊当日はタウンズビルから午後2時に到着するフェリーでマグネティック島に上陸しました。チェックインはセキュリティゲートの外にあるレセプションで行います。某ホテル予約サイトからあらかじめ宿泊予約と宿泊料金決済を行ったので、身分証明書を提示するのみでスムースにチェックインできました。 今回は家族3人で滞在するため、2 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Apartment Ocean Viewを利用しました。ベッドルーム2部屋(主寝室にクイーンサイズベッド1台、副寝室にシングルサイズベッド2台を配置)とリビングルーム、キッチン、バルコニーがあるファミリー向けの広い客室です。客室は清掃と適切な手入れがしっかり行き届いていて、完成から15年以上経っているにもかかわらず、まるで新築物件のように清潔で快適に過ごせました。バルコニーからはMagnetic Hourbourが眺められ、Nelly Bayに発着するフェリーが見られます。車がある場合は、滞在期間中無料で建物の地下にある各部屋専用の駐車場を利用可能です。 客室には大型冷蔵庫やIHクッキングヒーター、電子レンジなどのほか、食器や調理器具が揃ったフルサイズのキッチンが完備されているので、短期旅行のみならず長期滞在にも便利です。キッチンでは無料のコーヒー・紅茶が提供されています。バスルームではシェービングキットとヴァニティキット、ボトルタイプのシャンプー・コンディショナー・ハンド&ボディウォッシュがバスアメニティとして用意されていますが、歯ブラシ等はありませんでした。 客室では無料でWi-Fiに接続できます。通信速度が速く接続も安定しているので、スマートフォンやラップトップはもちろん、スマートテレビでの動画視聴も楽しめました。 ホテル館内にはレストランはありませんが、Nelly Bayには数軒のレストランやカフェ・バーが点在しているほか、ホテルから徒歩5分程度のところに食料品や日用品の購買に便利なスーパーマーケットがあります。連泊する場合は、車やバスを使って食事をしにHorseshoe Bay地区やArcadia地区へ足を延ばしてみるのも良いでしょう。 今回はたった2泊3日のマグネティック島滞在でしたが、バルコニーに出て潮騒を聴きながらコーヒーを飲んだり、プールに浸かりながら夕焼けを眺めたりと、ゆったりとした時間を過ごすことができました。

Trudy made our stay truly special! She welcomed us with such kindness and professionalism that we immediately felt at home. The beachfront apartments are beautiful and spotless, but it was Trudy’s care and attention that made everything unforgettable. Thank you!
