Mercure Iguazu Hotel Iru

All reception staff we dealt with were both friendly and knowledgeable. This made seeing the local area a lot easier. Rooms are a good size and clean. Good amenities, however pool seemed to be closed during our visit which may because this was low/winter season. You can walk into the local town for dinner - approx 25-30 mins.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was so good, great choice for breakfast and we had the most amazing evening meal! I also booked into the spa and had a lovely Swedish massage while I was there too which included access to the sauna and jacuzzi after. It’s located around a 10 minute drive from Iguazú national park so great location if you are wanting to visit Iguazú. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Arrived late, so we went straight to bed, had a lovely breakfast with everything you'd expect. We were out all day visiting the falls but got back around 3 and had a swim (which was lovely and refreshing) and a few beers. The guys behind the bar were really nice and friendly and spoke better English than we did Spanish! Tell them thanks for looking after us and serving the big English guy with lots of beer!! We had a great burger cooked by the chef behind the bar too. The local indigenous children were selling their bits of jewellery which I bought one, and they sang a song. The hotel laid on a buffet for them and they were such lovely polite children. I thought it was such a lovely thing for the hotel to do every week. We checked out the next day but great hotel to stay whilst visiting the falls.! Thanks again.

We spent a few hours visiting Iguazu Fall on a hot day with 39c. It was wonderful to come to Mercure right after and have a shower. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and did not explore the area outside the hotel. We enjoyed the ground inside the hotel. The hotel is quite big. There is a pool in the middle of the hotel ground. The room is nice and big and clean, with enough amenities. I like the fact that they use big bottles for shampoo, shower gel etc. There is a lot less waste of plastic. Two bottle of water are provided in the hotel room. There is also infused water at the reception area. The dining area and a bar are at the reception area. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Breakfast is relatively simple and the food is quite tasty: coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, grilled veggies, egg, bacon, pastries etc. Dinner menu is simple too. We had filet mignon, fish and chicken. The beef was too well done although we ordered rare. Grilled chicken was way overcooked too. Customer service of the hotel stall was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Mercure.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel. Great cocktails out by the infinity pool and hot tub. The best part though were the local handicrafts and the little local kids and guitar player singing for us by the pool. We loved the fact that you had sandwiches and treats for them afterwards. Breakfast buffet was delicious and so was dinner. Our room was very comfortable.
