Just stayed the 1 night. Comfortable room and an enjoyable breakfast. I stupidly left my phone in the room and was already out of Glasgow when I realized. I emailed the hotel and got a prompt response from Emma on reception. She was extremely helpful and my phone is on the way to Blackpool as I type. Great aftercare and also a mention to Gabriel who followed up when Emma had finished her shift. If I say Emma, Emma, Emma, Emma I hope she gets more recognition.

Good, but could be Better

This is a hotel in a very central location that makes almost all of the city reachable on foot. The staff are friendly and helpful. During our stay there was an issue with our allocated room not actually having been cleaned, but an alternative was quickly offered with a drinks voucher for the inconvenience. There was also an issue with the hot water supply that affected all guest, but this was rectified in good time. The rooms are tired and need decorating and the location can be noisy.

Small cold room. A heater that had to be supplied made it even smaller. Room carpet and general decor was tired.

Had a really enjoyable overnight stay in the Mercure hotel to celebrate my sisters birthday. I booked under the DBB rate and thought it was really reasonable for the centre of Glasgow. I like the fact it's super central being close to Argyle street/central/Queen Street stations and has parking too! Which is a massive plus . We stayed in a deluxe room and although not the largest of rooms it came with dressing gowns slippers water and coffee machine/kettle/hairdryer/ shampoo &conditioner etc. towels were so fluffy and the bedding was pristine. I thought the bed was really comfortable and I slept so well, i was thankful of the late breakfasts on a weekend! What made it for me was the wonderful and polite staff, Ellie on reception was the sweetest girl, so very patient with me and welcoming. Every member of stuff from the servers at dinner and cleaners and kitchen staff were so nice. Id mentioned that it was my sister's birthday and they arranged balloons and a banner and snacks in the room for us, my sister was so so pleased. It's little things like that when dealing with the public that means so much, it's really special. I also noticed the staff were consistently lovely with everyone who came in, it's good to see such good customer care 💕 Few weeks niggles as there always is, maybr more options could be available for dinner, but what we had was perfectly nice, but I honestly didn't hear a thing from surrounding rooms or street noise when the window was shut and I had a really peaceful sleep. I don't know why I've overlooked this place before and why I've read such mixed reviews it's definitely worth a try if you need somewhere central to stay.

Very central, bath in room rare for glasgow city centre, worth opening mercure account free and gets you welcome drink, small rooms, bar and reception area but so many places nearby. Room had basics but loved extra pillows. I'd rate hotel good but better than average.
