I stayed at the Mercure Norwich for a quick business trip and was very impressed. The reception team made check-in smooth, and the busy bar area was managed efficiently without any delays. A seamless and comfortable experience overall, with professional staff ensuring everything ran smoothly during my visit. Would highly recommend for anyone on a flying visit or a business trip!

We booked the big band Xmas party 19 of us. It was a great night staff all very lovely, music was great , the only thing that let it down was the food , vegetarian starter was so tiny and turkey was very hard and tastless. Also didn't do cocktail which I was surprised at . Apart from this we had a good night . Apparently breakfast was a good ,great choices as couple of people stayed over .x

Thank you for your kind review, we will look again at the vegetarian starters for next Xmas, we would like our food to be perfect. I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy the turkey, we've had a large number of compliments this year specifically around the meat. Extremely dated hotel. Only positive is massive parking and no need to register vehicles on arrival. Website says has spa, gym facilities. Still not useable after 2 months. Staff helpful though, when it came to ordering non dairy milk both for room and at breakfast (nice selection)

Peter I'm sorry you found our hotel disappointing. Our pool has been closed for 4 years now and is not advertised on any of our own websites. It is not on the Mercure site, the Accor site, Booking.com or Expedia. Unfortunately old pictures continue to appear on Google which is proving difficult to control. Our gym is open and remains open. Thank you for your kind comments regarding my wonderful team and our breakfast.

MYSELF AND 41 OTHERS ATTENDED OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER IN THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE OF THE MERCURE 29/11/2024 AND WAS VERY SURPRISED AT THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT THE STAFF HAD MADE TO MAKE US WELCOME AND FEEL THAT CHRISTMAS HAD ALREADY STARTED , THE TABLE DECORATIONS WERE SECOND TO NONE, HATS, MASKES AND NOT THE NORMAL CRACKERS WITH A HAT AND JOKE BUT ONES FULL OF NOVELTIES. I DID HAVE CONCERN ABOUT THE FIRST MENU WE WERE OFFERED BACK IN OCTOBER BUT I SPOKE TO JILL THE CATERING MANAGER AND SHE, WITH NO QUALMS, GAVE ME ANOTHER LIST OF ITEMS AND LET ME CHOOSE OUR OWN PREFERENCES . THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND THE STAFF ALSO WERE FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT AND COULD`NT DO ENOUGH TO MAKE SURE WE HAD A BRILLIANT EVENING

Stayed for work trip and was pleasantly surprised by the new varied bar menu and impressed with the quality of what was presented. Ask the staff were really helpful and outgoing, particularly the reception. Had a great night's sleep followed by a very good breakfast.
