Ok so Fraiser island is lovely without doubt, not so lovely is paying 1k aud for 2 nights in a hot tub villa that has a tub that struggles to fit 1 normal sized person comfortably, and that for all intensive purposes isn't part of the resort, and that you need to clean yourself!! ..... likewise the dune restaurant at $100 per head is terrible, the food would be good at a $25 price point as doesn't even live up to most surf clubs, and doesnt even have nice views!. Also the resort itself is inland and has no good views (although is sat in a forest which is cool!)

Beautiful resort: spacious and surrounded by nature. Staff were very kind when my son injured himself which meant the day wasn’t ruined. Very well-stocked Village Store and good bushwalks. Close to Lake McKenzie which was a real highlight.

Visited for a few days of recharge, and a few comments from my visit: - whilst the resort is in a great location, it’s starting to feel a bit tired - two nights is enough - the new Dune restaurant is a welcome addition - choose the 4wd hire available in the village and create your own 1 day island itinerary - some funky smells coming from in and around the resort

The location, surroundings and staff are excellent. Food at the restaurants needs improvement, particularly in Dune restaurant. Service overall was excellent, however some staff at Dune seemed to be focused on meeting some sort of service KPI.

Great resort, but you must either have access to a 4x4, or the money to purchase add on tours. Some of the accommodation, e.g. villas are an uphill walk from the main resort area. Difficult if you have young children who are tired at the end of the day. The train could be used for transport around the accommodation areas as well as to and from the wharf.
