A Pleasant Stay in an Excellent Location

A nice hotel in a great location. Check-in was smooth, and the staff throughout our stay were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast included, but the surrounding area offered plenty of good alternatives. The room was average in size, with fittings exactly what you’d expect for this type of hotel. Although my room was directly opposite the lift, I didn’t hear any noise at all during my stay. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower worked well. My only real negative was the lack of tea/coffee and ironing facilities in the room. I tried calling reception, but the phone didn’t work, so I had to go downstairs. I was given everything there and had to carry it all back up to my room. When I asked why there wasn’t enough tea equipment, I was told there weren’t enough for all rooms—which did make me wonder why more hadn’t been provided. The hotel also didn’t have milk, so I had to use creamer. That said, I would happily stay at this hotel again—next time I’ll just bring my own milk sachets. I appreciate this is a minor issue in the context of the overall stay, but in my opinion, it’s the little things that allows a hotel to get a 5-star reviews.

Great spot to stay, very convenient, within walking distance from the center of Rotterdam and a few nice pubs. Clean rooms and friendly and cosy atmosphere.

Offered 2 drink vouchers if we waived room service. We wanted room service. Despite asking for room service it was only met 50% of the time of our stay. Obviously the hotel undervalues the role of cleaners - 2 drink vouchers if!! The staf were cheerful but not very responsive.

This is my third stay at this hotel. It is centrally located and Jumbo supermarket is a stone's throw away. The room was clean. No complaints at all. I loved the pillows. Initially, when I checked in the room I was allocated, the air-conditioning wasn't working properly. After a few words with reception, they changed my room without hesitation. The receptionist explained that he was from a different hotel and was covering due to the staff were on an away day. He was very pleasant. There had been a change of staff since my last stay and I found that they paid little attention to customers in the evening. I walked into the hotel after 10pm they did not greet me, busy chatting to themselves.

A good-clean hotel in a great location with friendly staff. I didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on that but overall a good experience. The location was perfect and room facing the canal is preferable. There is handy supermarket across the road too.
