Few people from the staff speak English. The executive lounge was closed for improvement and works. It was not written when I booked this hotel. This hotel is more designed for local population, not international ones.

Hotel is nice, but..... By checking in i was downgraded being a gold member. After telling it to the manager (the only one speaking English) i was upgraded to the suite. So far so good. But The people at the reception are slow, do not understand English. We asked 2 times if their was a massage service in the hotel. 2 times the answer was no and we were send to a place 10min away from the hotel. On the last day we went to the swimming pool and what did we see? Yes a massage center :) The business lounge was closed (we were not informed upfront) we got our happy hour food and drinks in the big retaurant. Ok but it wasn't so relax as in a lounge.

The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. The Chinese restaurant also provided authentic Cantonese cuisine with reasonable price. I definitely will stay at this hotel next time.

Enjoyed my stay, although experience some minor problem

I stayed here together with my family and friends. We booked 7 rooms. I sent an email, to reconfirm all of our reservations, and asking any ugrade before my arrival. Received a reply after sending the second email, stated that all of our reservations are confirmed but refused any upgrade for us. Checked in was not smooth, took a long time, despite my email sent before stating informations of each room. I was given executive floor with free breakfast for two. Thank you for that. But my other family member did not get any upgrade, nor free breakfast eventhough using my member when made the bookings. Jason, who was helpful and attentive, helped me during checked out time. I asked him to closed all the bills of 7rooms, even the 2 rooms that would checked out on 10March. I also asked for free breakfast for 4 person, 2 of them were elderly, 87 years old. Jason said it was ok. But my brother's credit card was charged eventhough i already asked to closed the bills, and we didn't know for what expenses. Furthermore, I didn't received any points or status nights for all of my reservation (5 reservation for 3rooms each 4nights). I sent an email to hotel and made a complaint through accor customer service. Received the point already, but my brothers didn't received his points yet. Hotel itself is nice, the view from my room is beautiful. Room is clean and comfy. Breakfast was good. Will stay there again if I come to XiaMen.

Enjoyed my stay, but missing my accor points and status night

I stayed on 3-10March 2019, together with my family, we booked 7 rooms, in which, 2 rooms using my Accor Silver Membership. Before our arrival, my sister who is an Accor Gold member, sent an email, to reconfirm all of our reservations, and asking any upgrade. No reply received and a week later, she sent the second email. This time, she got a reply that reconfirmed all of our reservations but refused any upgrade for us. When we checked in, my sister prepared a detailed note, which reservations for each room, because some of them were already charged from our credit cards, but some of them were not paid yet. They asked all the passports and put the guests wrongly. And they even forgot put my name. I was not realized until i did not received any point nor status nights from all 5 reservations (2 rooms each for 6 nights) booked under my name. Furthermore, when my sister checked out on 7March, she settled all the bills of 7 rooms, including my rooms who would check out on 10March. She was helped by Jason, who were helpful and attentive. She make sure that all of the bills were settled, and I did not need to pay any bills when I checked out on 10March. She also requested free breakfast for 4person who stayed until 10March and granted. But, my credit card was charged Cny375, which I didn't know for what expense. Furthermore, I didn't received any points or status nights for all of my reservation (5 reservation for 2rooms each 6nights). I sent an email to hotel and made a complaint through accor customer service, but until today no response was given. Actually I like the hotel. It has a nice surrounding, clean room, and many healthy choices during breakfast. I liked celery juice most. But, missing the points and status nights, was the first experience ever happened during my 8years membership.

The hotel is an excellent one - very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Buffet meals had lots of choices. The hotel is near the lake, so very pleasant, but there are no shops etc within walking distance. But for a comfortable, relaxing hotel, I would highly recommend this one.

Club Lounge ???

It is one of the worse club lounges. I heard that GM left last year and hasn't been replaced. Until GM is in place and hotel management is improved, don't spend extra money to get the club lounge access. Not worth it. I was told when I checked in at the receiption that the happy hours were from 5.30 -7.30pm. It turned out to be 7-8pm which is very late comparing to other lounges. When I turned up after 7pm, there was nothing there. I was given a menu to order and food arrived 1 hour and 15 mins later with incorrect order. I believed that staff weren't sure what dishes should look like so they just distributed whatever they thought. Food was cold and dried. Won't come back again for sure.

The hotel surrounding was good as there was a river. The surround view could also be enjoyed from the room. The breakfast variety was adequate. The executive lounge required more variety of snack. The swimming pool was nice and clean.

Terrible check in experience

Check in at 15:30, it took me an hour with about 50 people in lobby waiting check in, there is a international big meeting in Xiamen early September therefore the security was very tight, the problem is 1. we told by counter only 2 staff know how to check in even there were about 6 people around 2. Everyone need to take photo but the machine was broken down, so down to one camera and desk top to do the job, then about 45 min later one staff turn up and just reset another machine it worked again, 3. So many people in the lobby but did not see anyone try to help or clam down the customer, 4. I am accor member but the priorty line was full of other people therefore serve no purpose. 5. I was given a room but I am not being asked it end up a smoking room full of bad smell, good thing is I asked to change room after dinner I have a non smoking room

Good Lack View from the Room

Business trip to Xiamen for 1 night only. Hotel is located in the centre area, rooms with the lack view in the higher floor. Room is clean and comfortable and the services are fair enough. However, I made a 2 rooms booking and I reminded the receptionist that I should have 2 rooms points on my account, and finally I only got one. Sent them an email and ask for the follow up but there is no reply then. I think they need to reinforce their follow up servicing.

wouldn't stay here again was not close enough to restaurants and cafes. the rooms were in need of updating as getting a little tired and our room wasn't tidy had to get a maid in to vacuum the floor when we arrived. staff weren't as friendly or professional as other accor branded hotels ive stayed in.

Big cavernous lobby is more functional and industrial tan relaxing, but the staff are friendly, attentive and professional and the rooms clean and modrn. Good fitness room and pool, nice views of water, and club lounge is quiet and has good internet speed.

Great hotel. Standard of room was very good. Had access to the Executive Lounge which by comparison to other Accor Hotel Executive Lounges was rather quiet and seemed under used. I'm not sure why because I enjoyed excellent service from the staff in the Lounge especially Jimmy, Aileen, Emily and Alisa. I found all hotel staff pleasant and polite and more than willing to help where they could. I will be back in March for another business trip to Xiamen.

Pleasant surroundings, island within an island, surrounded by very nice park and in the middle of a lake. 45 min boat tours available at 80 rmb. Not a lot of restaurants nearby. Taxi hard to come by but staff is very helpful arranging taxi for us

service level is very low - people are helpfull but not well trained especially for breakfast I was upgraded to executive room - bath room was not repaired very well which i can understand from a 3 stars chinese hotel but not from Pullmann.

Not Bad, but not very good

Room cleaning wasn't so good because there was the stain of former customers on the desk. At first, hotel clerk assigned the smoking room though I requested non-smoking. Fortunately I got non-smoking room at the executive floor. I'm Gold Member of Accor hotels, and they should have given me this room from the first. So I felt comfortable. By this clerk service, I couldn't feel good about their impression.

The day the Typhoon hit!

This hotel is very clean and tidy with very good selection of food available in the breakfast room. Not all staff were conversant in English but we managed to get by. The day we left was the morning after the recent typhoon. The staff did their very best to keep things going with power cuts, problems with the card payment machines. I felt very sorry for them but they really did work hard.

Pullman is always my first choose when stay in Xiamen. Check in is fast by Mr. Felix, room is clean and very good design. Staffs in executive louge are friendly especially Mr. Jimmy. Environment is clean and beauty, the lake just infront of hotel.

Disappointing service

As a platinum member, I expect to have a welcome drink and also have bed turn down service but both are absent. Difficult to call for taxi (at least should have light near the road so it can light up when taxi required). The lounge staff is good. So unless you have a car, the location is not convenient.
