Things were stolen from our room and nobody did anything.

We stayed at this hotel from 12 to 15 MAY 2022. We have stayed at Ibis Styles hotels before and we like that they have better decoration and facilities than other Ibis. Everything was ok... Location, parking, breakfast, facilities, room with big window... But there was one problem... On 13MAY we went to explore some Loire Castles. When we went back to hotel, my partner noticed that his Chanel perfume was missing from the bathroom. In hotels, you leave toiletries in the bathroom and you feel safe about them. But the perfume dissapeared. - Inmediately we went to the Front Desk, where we told the girl in the Front Desk about the situation. She said they will make an investigation. Next morning, we asked a guy with glasses in the Front Desk about it, and he said they knew who has stole the perfume. It seems the day before a person from the outsourced cleaning services was fired, and using his words "that was a bad person, so we thinks this person took it. We have contacted the person so it can return it". Next morning it was check-out time and nobody knows anything. They said they were going to talk to their manager, Mrs Chartier, to see what can be done and for further research. We were contacted by email 2 days after that, when we were in Paris just about to leave France, where the manager said that in France you have to report this to the police.- So we did not have any time left to open our complaint with the police, as we were traveling to Spain next morning. When we came back from El Salvador we then realized that some souvenirs we purchased in Disneyland Paris were also stolen from the hotel. I wrote to the Accor Customer service corporate office and they said they were going to research and they responded today that they contacted Mrs, Chartier, the General Manager of this hotel, and she said that an internal search was conducted and no suspicious entry or breaking in the room was detected, and with no proof of the theft, the hotel cannot be responsible and they invited me to contact the local police to follow up. I am back in El Salvador. I will definitely not contact local police. I dont speak French and it was over a month ago. I am not looking for any money or compensation from the hotel. This was not a break-in from outside. This was someone from the cleaning service you outsource for that hotel that made the theft. Several of your employees at the hotel said that they thought that a person from the cleaning services, which was not a good person and was fired that same day from the cleaning company may have done it and that they have contacted this person to return the stolen goods. I understand their policy, but as a customer and as travel industry professional that sends a lot of customers to the Ibis franchise in France, we travelers lose the sense of security to stay at one of the Ibis properties, and that after we left, then suddenly nobody knows anything, specially the hotel manager, who was informed about the situation. We have money to purchase a new perfume. We contacted an online store and purchased again the keychains (picture attached) and they were delivered to a friend in Montpellier, who will be coming to El Salvador this month and she is bringing them with her. I don´t want anyone to feel unsafe during a stay at any hotel, and that includes any personal belongings we have. What about it was a laptop or a telephone? Just because it was a perfume and some keychains, it is not less important that the fact that the cleaning services, with key access to the rooms, can go, steal something from the room, and nobody does anything about it except saying "it never happened before", trying to make feel the customer that you are lying or that you are responsible for leaving your things in the hired room. I don´t want any response from the hotel. I just want that these things happen to other guests. Kind regards. Walter Avila

Dear Sir Avila, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay in my hotel. We spent much time discussing together but unfortunately I think we dit not understand each other. My duty manager talked to you and I sent you emails. Please let me assure you we NEVER have such complaints. We put a whole procedure after receiving your demand. 1/ We controlled the door of your room and only you and the maid entrered the room. 2/ We informed the cleaning company of the maid there had been a complaint 3/ They came back to us saying they had no doubt about the maid and that she saw no such objects in the room 4/ We ask you to call the police so we can make an investigation and give the videos of the hotel. Without this complaint we nave no right to prosecute the maid or to search her. Moreover, the insurance will not reimburse guests if there is no proof. We applied the legal procedure but without any document from you we are not able to go further and tu reimbourse you as asked. We received thousands of guests and never have such problems. I am really sorry if this spoiled your trip. Best regards,

When we arrived the place looked like we were in the wrong part of town. There is a private parking garage which is accessible from the back of the hotel on foot but on a bike the entrance is a bit steep if you need to press the button to call the reception for access. The room was rather small and the bar was in the reception area. Staff were friendly and breakfast was OK but not as good as we have had in other Ibis. Bit of a walk into town, about 10/15 minutes before you get anywhere on the outskirts. It was our first night on a trip and we felt disappointed.l

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay in our hotel. We are in the train station quater wich is really convenient and only minutes walking from the city center. I am really sorry for the bikes. I think there has been a misunderstanding as we have a special storage for bikes, not in the car parking. Ibis Styles are a bit different from Ibis. We have a 24/7 hospitality desk and included buffet breakfast when Ibis has a bigger buffet breakfast for 10.50€ extra. I am really sorry if you felt disappointed. We have an Ibis right in the city center called Ibis Blois centre Chateau that could maybe better suit your expectations. Best regards,

Hotel is little bit out of the main tourist area, around 15-20 min walk to the Chateau. There's plenty of free parking around for those arriving by the car like us. Staff was nice and quick during check in. Room spacious with big bathroom. Breakfast was decent, good choice, not the best on our tour but satisfactory. Best was the natural orange juice machine which squeezes the juice after you put fresh oranges in - I think I drank more than a liter. Also, I liked very much free pinball in the lobby. Very good quality-price hotel which I recommend.

It's a good hotel with big rooms and an efficient service. In the rooms there's everything you need and they are very clean. The structure is in a good place, 10 minutes from the center. Breakfast is quite abundant and tasty. There is also a large underground parking. In the hall there are a lot of chairs and tables where you can play cards or watch tv.

Very good hotel, family room was big with a double bed and a separate room with 2 bedrooms for children. The room was clean and well isolated in term of noise.You can go to the castle or city center in 10 minutes walk. I recommend this hotel
