Close to British museum and Sir John Soane Museum and lots of restaurant. Hotel good with friendly staff. Breakfast was only OK because they had no bacon or sausage on day two of our stay. Hotel wasn't that busy so no excuse.
With so much competition you expect the small things to be so much better

Waited to check in whilst staff talked amongst themselves. As a gold Accor member I wasnt offered a room upgrade although we did get two small bottles of wine in the room. Only one towel and only toiletries for one which is a real bugbear of mine and something that is easy to remedy. Staff refused to serve us breakfast and sent us to reception to prove our booking included breakfast. Once I showed them my email booking confirmation we were allowed to get our breakfast.....no apology. The room was very clean, warm and quiet. Checking out was quick and efficient. There are cheaper and better hotels nearby. Nothing in my stay would persaude my to visit again in my regular trips to London. Sorry Accor, as your hotels are usually excellent value for money.

Location was perfect with many attractions within 20 minutes walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well laid-out, with everything you would need and an excellent shower. The room service was prompt and polite. The restaurant was very good indeed with a decent choice of food and wine which offered great value for money and high quality. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Last chance, never gain. Premier Inn next time

1: We booked a superior room. I am certain the only difference between a superior and a cheaper twin room is that the beds are pushed together in the same sized room. Hence a 30cm gap either side between the bed and the bedside table. And the gap in the middle. And the subcompact size of the room, and single armchair, only one person could sit and watch TV. No room for another chair anyway. I suspect Trading Standards would be interested that standard rooms are been sold as as superior in this manner.. 2: Useless shower over tiny bath, I repaired the fitting myself as it had fallen apart. 3: One small towel provided, had to ring down to clearly harassed reception for more. 4: Welcome drink: two tepid bottled of white wine, still unopened. A drink in the bar, as in evey other Accor I've staying in would have been,err, welcome but then... 5: ....bar shut by 10pm. Should be open until 12:30 according to brochure in room. 6: We stayed here a year ago and were told, after finding a similarly unacceptable situation, that there was to be a refurbishment programme. Clearly no progress has been made. 7: If this property was branded as an Ibis I might be a little more forgiving. Even so I won't be staying here again.

This hotel is not far from Euston Station, yet less than 30 minutes walk to the Thames. It's near the British Museum and Covent Garden. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfasts are tasty and dinner at the in-house Marco Pierre White restaurant is excellent.
