Close to British museum and Sir John Soane Museum and lots of restaurant. Hotel good with friendly staff. Breakfast was only OK because they had no bacon or sausage on day two of our stay. Hotel wasn't that busy so no excuse.

Waited to check in whilst staff talked amongst themselves. As a gold Accor member I wasnt offered a room upgrade although we did get two small bottles of wine in the room. Only one towel and only toiletries for one which is a real bugbear of mine and something that is easy to remedy. Staff refused to serve us breakfast and sent us to reception to prove our booking included breakfast. Once I showed them my email booking confirmation we were allowed to get our breakfast.....no apology. The room was very clean, warm and quiet. Checking out was quick and efficient. There are cheaper and better hotels nearby. Nothing in my stay would persaude my to visit again in my regular trips to London. Sorry Accor, as your hotels are usually excellent value for money.

Location was perfect with many attractions within 20 minutes walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well laid-out, with everything you would need and an excellent shower. The room service was prompt and polite. The restaurant was very good indeed with a decent choice of food and wine which offered great value for money and high quality. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

1: We booked a superior room. I am certain the only difference between a superior and a cheaper twin room is that the beds are pushed together in the same sized room. Hence a 30cm gap either side between the bed and the bedside table. And the gap in the middle. And the subcompact size of the room, and single armchair, only one person could sit and watch TV. No room for another chair anyway. I suspect Trading Standards would be interested that standard rooms are been sold as as superior in this manner.. 2: Useless shower over tiny bath, I repaired the fitting myself as it had fallen apart. 3: One small towel provided, had to ring down to clearly harassed reception for more. 4: Welcome drink: two tepid bottled of white wine, still unopened. A drink in the bar, as in evey other Accor I've staying in would have been,err, welcome but then... 5: ....bar shut by 10pm. Should be open until 12:30 according to brochure in room. 6: We stayed here a year ago and were told, after finding a similarly unacceptable situation, that there was to be a refurbishment programme. Clearly no progress has been made. 7: If this property was branded as an Ibis I might be a little more forgiving. Even so I won't be staying here again.

Pleasant stay in well located hotel

This hotel is not far from Euston Station, yet less than 30 minutes walk to the Thames. It's near the British Museum and Covent Garden. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfasts are tasty and dinner at the in-house Marco Pierre White restaurant is excellent.

Hotel is well located and staff are friendly and efficient. Room was nice if a little small. It was a nice touch to give us some snacks and drinks when we arrived. The room had all the facilities we needed including iron/ironing board as well as tea/coffee making facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel previously and I am a member, the room was very small and we needed to use the torch on our mobile phone to see into the wardrobe, the area around the shower was brown and when we wend out someone had tipped my foundation onto the dressing table and smudged it. As a member I expected the same standard as previous for the same price as previous.

The good - Robert and staff in the restaurant, along with the food. The bad - if you are an ex rugby forward or line-backer from NFL don't bother with this venue, the bathrooms are very small and not functional for the larger person.

Mostly Accor asks for feeback not directly on tripadvior and I would have given this review through their feedback site and not to be issued right away on tripadvisor - as maybe it might have be just bad luck... But this option wasn't offered, hence I'm writing here. Overall, I would say average hotel, not yet up to the standards of refurbished Mercure hotels. Check-in: some wait... As loyal customer one gets noramlly a welcome-drink and an upgrade offered. Neither happend... (maybe I was upgraded, but I wasn't told and the room did not feel like an upgrade). I was asking whether my Accor number is in the system (which was confirmed...), but this seem to be not enough for the staff to realize... Anyhow, these things happen and I easily survive without a free beer and being treated as a special person. BUT, what is absolutley inappropriate for such a place: Seems the drain from the bathrub was clogged (one of these Hotels without an appropriate shower...), so having showered, quite some water was left. Even these things can happen, I know..., (although I don't want to know what was actually clogging the drain), but the next morning the water was still there... I really enjoyed that shower... What kind of roomservice do they have? Either they don't clean the bathroom, or they don't care. This makes it overall a really bad experience. Breakfast ok, although they claim to have an Italian bar, the Capuccino is self-service by the press on a button... Best experience: the gentleman being responsible for the breakfast room was making me really feel welcome

Great location close to the British Museum with easy access to the Piccadilly Line through Russell Square station. The single room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The bathroom facilities were excellent.

Old and tiny rooms, old too soft bed, minimum service. Youcan hear all noises of all room around.... Good luck to have a rest or sleep! As usual with Accord,.no real Additional service Or advantage with their Loyalty program (I am diamond)

Convenient Location, Clean Hotel

The room was a respectable size and clean. The daily service kept it that way. Rooms face onto Southampton Row and noise may have been an issue for some guests, as there were earplugs provided, however it quietened down by bed time, and was quiet until I awoke in the mornings. The bathroom was a reasonable size, with a shower providing good water pressure (although there were a couple of occasions where I had to wait for the water to reach temperature). The staff were very helpful and professional, including in the breakfast area, and the breakfast I found enjoyable. The only issue I had was the wifi connection, which was not reliable in my room. There was always a strong signal, but sometimes I received a 'failed to find IP address' message or the connection was extremely slow. In the lobby and restaurant the connection was reliably good. The staff did try resetting the router on my level, so they certainly were trying to help. The location was good, particularly if you are going to the British Museum.

モンドリアンの絵画の飾られているお部屋で大変気に入り、バスルームが広く、一人でも快適に過ごせた。朝食も美味しく、スタッフの心遣いも感じられた。プロテイン入りのチョコレートドリンクやクッキーが部屋に用意されていて嬉しかった。新年の花火がお部屋から見られて、とても感激した。ラッセルスクエア駅から近くて、便利だった。冷蔵庫があれば良かった。お部屋に置いてある石けん、シャンプー剤は潤わず、皮膚がガサガサになった。

We decided to select a Mercure Hotel for our special London trip, visiting Buckingham Palace and Tutankamun's exhibition, having had such a good experience at the Castle Hotel, Windsor. My wife had requested a quiet room when we booked online, and we had not been told that this was not possible. We only realised that there was a problem when we turned off the air conditioning unit before intending to go to sleep. There was a constant extraction unit/ventilation fan? noise outside the bedroom all night which prevented us from sleeping. Upon further investigation in the morning, I managed to open the window sufficiently to take a picture with my mobile phone of the issue. A horrible cooking smell then also pervaded the bedroom. The bedroom itself was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed. The shower was devoid of pressure so failed to wake us up. The quality of the breakfast was also far inferior from that at the Castle Hotel, Windsor. The hot and cold buffet choices were limited, and the scrambled eggs well overcooked. Cheese portions pre-packed in plastic. My wife decided to order a 3-egg cheese and mushroom omelette, but was subsequently informed that there were no mushrooms. The omelette turned up blackened and was inedible! The female breakfast staff looked sullen. My wife spoke to the supervisor who did apologise about the omelette and said that he would talk to the chef. Breakfast tables positioned with little room between them. I did complain about the noisy bedroom when we checked out at reception, and the receptionist was apologetic. He couldn't offer a discount as we had paid in advance online on booking. We were able to leave our cases safely at the hotel while we went out for the day, and a member of staff did secure us a taxi to the station, which was helpful.

Not clean, no welcome drink, not even mentioning, no room upgrade for gold member, the smallest room ever seen, very noisy environment, though breakfast was Ok, no sleepers in the room, all in all disappointing

全体的には良いホテルだったと思います。朝食も素晴らしかったですし、ロビーでのクリスマスのデコレーションも大変良かったです。シャワー室のフロアがあまりにも滑りやすく、これは改善された方が良いと思います。滑り止めマットを敷いたものの、やはり滑って転倒してしまいました。かなり危なかったです。

We have stayed here before and the reception that we got was very friendly and helpful as it was on our previous visit we felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door . The room was very clean and tidy and was quite quiet as we were on the 7 floor and for a city hotel that was great. We had breakfast there on both days our stay and there was a good selection compared to other mercure hotels and the food was fresh the staff were always bringing out fresh food and there help was much appreciated me and my wife will be staying here again keep up the good work and standards you are a credit to your hotel.

We stayed for 1 night in London, for what seems like an older hotel it was really clean and you could see that they keep up to maintenence and updating things which is essential! The facilities were great, having the nespresso machine was a lovely touch and it was just so easy to check in and out. We couldn't hear any notice and the bedding was so soft. I do have 2 downsides, the Matress was WAY too soft, you sank right down which was quite uncomfortable and the steps leading up to the entrance were very Slippy. Howeveer, we would absolutely stay again.
