Good as a budget hotel

We stayed for two nights. In general, the hotel was okay. Room was very small (cosy) and basic with a single bunk bed on top of a double bed. Window faced right at the Islamic Centre. The shower capsule was very small: after taking shower, we had a little bit of water spill. There was only one electric outlet from which we could charge. Not much of bathing amenity other than one single all-in-one shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. The door to the toilet does not have a lock. Hotel was located in the international neighborhood. Not sure if it would be safe at night. We appreciated the proximity to St. Paul Cathedral, Tower Bridge and Tower of London. One thing I liked abou the hotel is the front let us have coffee/tea throughout the stay, although there was an attendant during breakfast who kept checking and telling that we should buy coffee from the vending machine. There was a microwave in the common room which we were able to use. Overall, the staff were very kind and friendly.

We stayed here as a family recently. The room is small-ish. Room is correctly described online when we booked it for 4 nights. It is essentially a basic budget hotel. Do not expect frills. Our room configuration - single bunk bed on top of the double bed. There are no proper cupboard and tea/ coffee making facilities. Private ensuite bathroom is non-traditional. There's a door that accesses the shower area and another into the toilet. The sink is part of the room. Overall clean room, comfortable beds & room is serviced daily. There's a lift in the hotel. The location of this hotel is good. 1/ Its in-between Aldgate Station and Whitechapel Station (closest stations) 2/ bus stop in front of hotel 3/ Tesco is nearby (going towards Aldgate Station) 4/ It an easy 15-20mins walk to Tower of London, Tower Hill, London Eye, Thames River 5/ Whitechapel Station is on the Elizabeth Line - easy journey to/from Heathrow Airport Whitechapel is a melting pot of various cultures. The hotel is located next building to the Islamic Centre. Lots of Indian restaurants around. The area does not give an impression that it's not safe.

I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night in May. The hotel is relatively basic. I paid £289 for 2 nights including breakfast, which is expensive for what you get but this is London and hotel prices are very expensive. The rooms are fairly basic but they are clean, have a good shower and have a TV. There are no coffee making facilities, iron, safe, paintings on the walls etc. If you just want a bed to sleep in, as I did, this is perfectly fine but if you intend to spend more time in the room (especially if it is two of you) you may wish to look elsewhere. The location is not the best in London but I felt perfectly safe. It is about 10 min walk to Whitechapel or Aldgate East underground stations. Breakfast is very reasonable and consists of cold items. There is a reasonable selection of breads, fruit salad, yoghourt, cheeses, ham and tea/coffee. There is a dispenser of 4 types of fruit juice - I tried the orange juice but did not try again as it is of fairly low quality (was it orange squash?).

The experiece.was hauful. The room is suallid as ever, the matrass too soft so its the cushion. Price 3 times as much

Miserable place with outragious price. So squallid you can ever imagine. It should.cost not.more.than 70 80 pounds. It is a place you would be ashamed.to communicate. Location is good. Building terrible.receptionist just as bad as the building

Very compact but suitably comfortable little room, right in the cultural richness of Whitechapel - extremely convenient for tube/train/bus, so many restaurants, and right on the edge of the City of London with all the attractions there. The room's not the smallest I've ever stayed in, but at 4 nights I'm glad I was (unusually) travelling solo - it would have been cramped with a partner. The compact shower was acceptable, although requiring a little finesse to get the right temperature. Breakfast was supplemental to the room rate, but was a well presented & stocked cold buffet, and on-demand pancake dispensing machine - both enjoyed each morning with a satisfactorily long service window. The hotel itself is directly on Whitechapel Road, almost adjacent to a large hospital & trauma centre; if one is not accustomed to the noises of a major city this may make sleep difficult, but this is also to be expected for a hotel this conveniently located.
