This hotel is in a good location, very close to many shops, restaurants, dessert bars, some historical sites and the like. The rooms were standard size and generally clean, but dated. Apart from people talking in the hall, it was quiet. Our room had a fancy Korean loo, which was an experience - in a good way! The aircon was not effective. We stayed on two rooms on different occasions and it was warm (up to 28 degrees at night), despite the fan being on high. Our windows were bolted shut, although others told us they could open those in their rooms. It also made me wonder how the fire plan was supposed to work!! There is no aircon in the halls either, so they can be stifling too. Breakfast was ok. Don’t go at 8.15 as it’s packed. Note that if you’re an Accor Plus member and on a group tour, you can’t use access any benefits or gain points. This was annoying given we’d picked a tour that went to Accor hotels. We’ve stayed at many Ibis hotels around the world and appreciate it is for those on a budget, but this wasn’t one of the better ones.

Will come back!!

Such a lovely stay, it was a first time staying at the Ibis near the Ikseondong hanok village, it’s literally in-front of it, such a convenient location. The bed is nice and soft, and we just really enjoyed the stay. Our check-in procedure was great, our receptionist Joseph, was so professional and talented, he could speak both languages from our country despite being Korean, so cool. He also welcomed us and made sure to appreciate our Accor loyalty, and give us such a lovely room. He gave good recommendations that made the trip so much easier. Thank you, we appreciate it. We hope to come back again with our family.

First of all the staff was incredibly hospitable. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such nice people than in Seoul. The room had a super comfy bed and adequate air conditioner that made coming back after a long day in the humid weather a dream. The breakfast was superb and a cute rooftop to relax at. It’s also conveniently located steps from shops, cafes, trendy restaurants, rooftop bars, a 24hr 7/11 store that literally has everything (including alcohol and reloadable metro cards which is a must and the metro line is barely a 5 min walk. Walk around and explore any time of day or night everywhere is SUPER SAFE. WiFi works best in the lobby. Highly recommend!
