This felt more like a typical Ibis rather than an Ibis Style - generally expect a little more from this brand. Starting from check-in, the experience was a little awkward. There was some school tour hanging around the reception desk which made getting to the reception desk difficult and we could hardly hear any questions posed. The staff probably should have ushered that group to somewhere else in the lobby. The room and bathroom were on the small side, tight with little space for any luggage. You basically had the bed in the middle, just about enough space either side of the bed to stand up and the pathway to the door. As we only stayed one night, although not great, it was not a massive issue for us. Breakfast the next morning was also hit and miss - when we arrived, many options were gone. With what was left, there were some flies/bugs hovering around the pastries so not the most hygienic, a little more attention needed here. The parking situation is also a bit awkward, not that many parking spaces available, more of a free for all situation with some cars evidently having been parked there forever.

Had a relatively pleasant stay at this hotel, however, the room/ventilation had a strange unpleasant smell (like old sewage combined with smoke), the carpet felt damp which made the stay average. Overall, I think they need to renovate the accommodations. The guest services were friendly and welcoming which was good.

This is a loverly addition to the iBIS hotel chain. This hotel offers modern decoration throughout the hotel and corridors right the way up until your room. The rooms are equally well designed and equipped. This is a warm and welcome addition to this location. There are brilliant food joints and bars local and safe and easy parking. Made our stop from Italy to the United Kingdom a really lovely location. Highly Recommended.
