Ok for a brief overnight stop, but no more

First impressions of this hotel are not great. The area surrounding the hotel is not the best or safest feeling with a permanent traveller site over the road (though I don’t think they ever cause any trouble) and a run down small shopping centre (where we witnessed a massive argument with security). There is a locked gate to the hotel which should make me feel better but it just made me wonder why they needed it. The hotel itself was ok. Rooms were spacious and comfy and the bar was ok and cheap. They do offer food but I suspected it might be microwave meals so we opted for the nearby McDonald’s. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok. It was fine for an overnight stop but I won’t be rushing back.

A simple hotel.

Clean. Our room was an OK size. Convenient free parking right in front of the door. It is OK for an overnight stay while on a road trip. 10 minutes by car to Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. It is located in the suburbs and there seems to be nothing to do in the surrounding area within walking distance. The selection for breakfast was quite limited, but there was both a salty and a sweet selection. There was no omelette, but there was an opportunity to boil eggs for yourself. A very small amount of products were displayed and everything kept running out, but at least more was brought quite fast. The breakfast restaurant was spacious, but the buffet table was set in a narrow corner with little space and there was constant crowding. NB! The rating is given taking into account the hotel category and the price paid.

LOCATION: The hotel is located outside any city centre, in an industrial/trade area. That implies you need a car to get there, but it can be an efficient solution if you are just looking for a place to stay relatively close to the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte and not too far from the highway. Parking on-site is free and there are a couple of chain restaurants nearby. PREMISES: fairly new and modern hotel, very efficient structure, but don't expect any charm here. SERVICE: staff is friendly and helpful BREAKFAST: sufficient choice of products ROOM: spacious, clean and efficient, no street noise at all; the bathroom was sufficiently spacious and with everything in good working order. WiFi: reliable and fast in the room and all common places OVERALL: good for a stop on route, but not a good choice for a romantic getaway

This hotel is just outside Melun. Rooms are nice and breakfast is excellent. A nice orange juice pressing machine. Good coffee. The hotel is easy accessible and close to the RN The is a supermarket next door. So if you need something for the next day.

The room was fine but breakfast did not live up to the standard of other Ibis style hotels that we have stayed in. The breakfast area is badly designed, cramped into a small area, where it is difficult for more than three people to get what they want. The quality of service od the breakfast was also under par. There seemed to be just one man at the reception, whose job was also to keep the breakfast items well stocked, which he failed to do. A wait for orange juice, spoons, mugs, etc. Disappointing.
