Thought we were staying in Lille, not Roubaix!

I'm expecting to be in Lille, but you're not as it's a satellite town 30 mins away. So the building was nice, and the restaurant downstairs was decent when open as not 7 days a week, so please check. We found the staff to be very helpful, which was in stark contrast to some reviews. Now, some key considerations to factor they do have a small car park below hotel but not east to get in or out with a 40-degree slope and height restriction, The locality is anything but touristy, although the cafe next door is full of locals with quite an Arabic vibe. Lots of petty crime nearby, so be careful we witnessed a few issues during our stay. There are lots of fast food joints nearby, and a few mins walk is the metro statio , which does take you straight into Lille in 30 mins or so. We had an okay stay, but tbh if we could have, we would rather have stayed in Lille and thought that's where we booked.

Good spot if you have to be in Roubaix

The hotel is in a lovely old building with interior decor in keeping with the style. The staff are very helpful, but they are overstretched. The hotel is centrally located a short walk from the metro2 line and the SNCF train. I'd recommend the train, although less frequent the metro is overcrowded like nothing I've seen elsewhere, including Paris. The bed was comfortable, but there was only one pillow per person which made for a less comfortable sleep. The room was quiet and no street noise from outside could be heard. Roubaix has not a lot to offer as a town, and we struggled to find anywhere for dinner open in the evening as a lot seemed to close mid-week. The hotel has a restaurant but the menu is limited in choice so it didn't suit us, which was disappointing. If I needed to be in Roubaix for some particular reason I'd stay here again, but I wouldn't recommend it as a tourism stop.

Don´t go there, only idiots and fraudsters work here! I was visiting this Hotel in January. The Hotel was booked through Expedia. I was staying in the Hotel for one day, on the 2nd day my room was blocked.I went to the receptionist and he asked me to pay the room. I was a bit surprised but I have paid it. After I went back to my room, I checked my booking again and it was pre-paid. So I basically paid twice. I have informed the receptionist and he also agreed to me and promised me to take care on a reimbursement. Nothing happened. Then I called them again, they promised again they will take care, again nothing happened, I wrote a mail, no response. In again called twice, again just empty words and on the last call they seriously said we delete the booking and it´s not our problem anymore. Here you have to pay double, so better take a nicer hotel. the rooms are noicy, you can hear your neighbors, the firealarm went on several times and the beds are uncomfortable.

Booked the hotel via Booking.com at a reasonable price for the world cup rugby game. Email from the hotel a week or so later to say there was an error with my booking and we'd been bumped to a sister (cheaper) hotel miles from Lille centre and the rugby stadium. 1) if there was a problem with the booking how did they have my details and booking info. 2) we were cancelled because we'd presumably booked at a non- premium rugby rate. 3) they'd booked us into the cheaper 'sister' chain.. who actually had no record of our booking .. so then had to re-book at whatever the premium rate was. Awful service and attitude for a 'mistake' their end.

A run-down hotel with incredibly bad service

A run-down hotel that lacks of essential services and has incompetent and unfriendly staff. Room service did basically not exist. No refill of coffee or tea. Used cups were removed but no new cups were provided. When I asked at reception, I was only told that this is standard as guests are supposed to use their cups for the entire stay. When I pointed out that I didn't have any cups in the room anymore, they didn't have an answer how I should drink my hot beverages. Also, the garbage bin was not emptied. I could continue the list of shortcomings here. I think it's fair to say that this is the worst room service I have ever experienced at any hotel. The reception staff was extremely unfriendly when I complained. As mentioned before, they came up with ridiculous explanations and were not at all helpful, not in any way. The reception staff had communicated with their manager as part of the complaint. But when I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that the manager is not available to speak to me. What a disappointing response. Well, if you want to have a nice experience in Roubaix, do avoid this run-down hotel at any means. Their service is incredibly bad and certainly not worth the prices they ask for.
