5-Night Stay with Resort Vibes in Wulingyuan

I had a pleasant 5-night stay at this resort-style hotel in Wulingyuan. The arrival experience was smooth, with a quick check-in process. Staff spoke English, which made things easy and welcoming. The room, while a bit dated, was well-maintained and had all the amenities you’d expect from a premium hotel. The bed was firm and comfortable, offering restful nights throughout my stay. Breakfast featured a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. That said, I’ve had more flavorful Chinese breakfasts at other hotels. Communication with the reservation team was excellent, especially with Smile Wu, who provided prompt and helpful responses both before and after my stay. Her assistance made the overall experience even more seamless. The location is excellent — just a 3-minute Didi ride to the East Gate of the Avatar Mountains, and close to a local supermarket in Wulingyuan. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for those looking to explore the area with comfort and convenience.

Great location - you have many options of food close by. The break-fast was not the best but it's okay. The room are good, and the bed which is very important is also good. The bathroms are clean and have a good shower. Besides that, I has a small convenience store inside the hotel if you need something.

Interesting place. Decor looked nice, but had some mold and pealing wall paper in the room. There was no coffee in the room. They'd only give us one key for the room. They had two shower heads, but only fully worked and there was no way to use it without getting water all over the floor. Breakfast was very meh. That said, the staff was very helpul.

Spacious Hotel, Great Location – Just a Bit Worn

Overall, the hotel was quite nice—very spacious and well-suited for international travelers, which was a big plus since we were traveling with kids. The location is super convenient, and the rooms were generously sized. The beds were huge—easily big enough for three people to sleep comfortably, with room to spare for a fourth! The price is very reasonable, especially for what you get. Just keep in mind that the hotel is a bit dated and could use some maintenance. For example, the shower glass leaked a little, and the faucet knob wasn’t working properly. You do get a sense that the place is worn, but it still does the job—especially when all you want after a long day exploring the mountain parks is a comfy bed. As for the restaurant, the food was just okay. I ordered the spring chicken and was expecting a bit of white meat or at least a leg—but what I got was... well, the bottom of the chicken! 😄 My daughter’s spaghetti was also pretty mediocre. But again, it comes down to taste. All in all, the price matches the quality. It’s not perfect, but it works—especially for families on the go.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pullman Zhangjiajie. Although a little dated the hotel is well Presented and maintained throughout. The hotel rooms and gardens are very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. We found our room very much to our liking and everything worked well. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the Wulingyuan East gate and town ammenities. We would like to make mention of Freya and Miko who went out of their way to assist us with a few issues we encountered ( not hotel related).
