This hotel has a lot going for it. It is in the process of some upgrades. A few simple and inexpensive ones are still needed. On the positive side, the location is superb. Having a decent and secure garage under the hotel is splendid. A pity that there is no elevator down there. They will help you, if requested, bringing luggage up the many steps and through heavy doors. The staff are pleasant and willing to help, or stay in the background, your choice. The public rooms are attractive. The guest rooms are of decent size, quiet and with expected amenities. But rather thin towels for a four star. The liquid soap dispensers, etc, in the shower, six feet or more away from the shower head and high even for someone six foot two, are makeshift. Furniture and lighting are a bit austere and generic. Sad that the one English language news channel listed on the screen is unavailable. A decent breakfast in an attractive room. Kudos for having quality Italian coffee and Saint Malo yoghurt. Accor has you covered if you don't mind missing much local character.

The Numbers of Stars for hotels 🏨 in France is often a question mark. So as well in this case. Pity in particular for a French based brand, but this experience isn’t new for me. If you use it to overnight doing a break after a long trip on the highway it is sufficient, however not more. Overpriced though and e. g. For this purpose does it as well sometimes offering a better experience.

The room was clean.Breakfast was good,enough of everything.All staff were helpful.Location was perfect for the Arènes.Can’t understand the negativity in other reviews.I will stay again when I return to Nimes.I did not use the Restaurant in the evening but the bar man does a good g and t.

I will start by the end.Terrible hotel. Reasons: As Gold Member they said I can no add my booking as it was done via Booking.com…never the less I asked them to introduce my membership number in the system to my booking. In the bedroom not even a small welcome bottle of water…had to walk at night to find a place to buy a bottle. I had a suit and I asked if they have a cleaning,ironing service..Nothing.Do they have an arrangement with a provider..No..So I asked a iron and this one was available without table.. And for the best…For 19 euros basically I paid a coffee..Scrambled eggs super cold,bacon cold and like they have been cooked over an over for 3 days and the rest some slices of ham remaining on a plate.I was a the breakfast 1h30 minutes before they close. Worst Novotel I have been so far in my business trips.

We contacted the hotel before arriving and they treated us correctly and pleasantly. They gave us all the information we required and we requested a room upgrade, taking advantage of the fact that we are Accor Platinum members and have two suite upgrades available. However, when we arrived at the hotel, they did not give us the welcome drink that we were due for our level of fidelity. The room we were given was a suite, but we were very disappointed by its lack of maintenance, decoration, and cleanliness. We found it extremely poor for a room that cost 180 euros per night. In addition, we went to the buffet service in the evening and had to wait more than 20 minutes for the drink to be brought to us. When we reminded them that they had not offered us the welcome drinks, they told us that they could subtract the value of a beer, which was what corresponded to us even though we were two people. In other hotels where we have stayed, they have discounted two drinks and we have been able to choose between other options and not just a beer. At checkout, they also did not show us the invoice so we could verify the charges, but instead they indicated the total amount and then they gave us the sealed invoice after we had paid. The truth is that we feel very disappointed by the treatment we received from a Novotel chain hotel, especially in a city as charming as Nimes and being loyal customers of Accor for so many years.
