Nice room, felt new. Wifi and tv good. Location is a nice compromise between the train station and the walled city (figure a 15 minute walk to each, also only about 15 minutes to Ajet and the restaurants there). Breakfast was very nice and they even started it very early for people who were catching an early ferry. I did find a significantly lower price on booking than on the Ibis website, so look around. The only negative is that there may have been a van to the ferry terminal but I did not see this advertised. Since I mentioned at check in that I had to leave early, they might have suggested it to me, but I did not think to ask. I'm still not sure if there was one, but I did see an empty van out front when I left and did notice that I seemed to be the only person walking the road to the ferry terminal. So, I don't know the answer but advise that you ask if you are headed there.

Great hotel but….

Nice hotel just a tad too far from the old town. Staff were great especially in the breakfast room where they kept everything well stocked. Parking was a plus. I had some temporary mobility issues so took a taxi into the old town which was great but getting back was quite a challenge. Taxis seem to be hard to come by. We also tried to get a taxi to town the next day which became impossible. Frustrated that our holiday was spoilt by being unable to get into town.

Excellent stop for getting straight off the evening ferry into St Malo. Close and convenient to the port with a little bar, friendly staff and breakfast in the morning. Rooms very clean and adjoining rooms available for families. Comfy beds. Fab showers like new with strong pressure and good flow.

We booked on line deliberately requesting free parking. A price of £99 came up. Once it was confirmed the total cost was £140 with £41 added as a service rate! No free parking, awful hotel with cramped reception area and bar. We were given room 301. I have a disability - there was no lift and the stairs are quite hazardous with poor handrails. Pokey little room with dirty looking shower floor and threadbare towels. The person at reception said the cost had nothing to do with them. He was very sarcastic and not sympathetic at all. Will never stay at Ibsis again. Locality is only positive

Decided to go the night before rather than face a 5.30 start with the Rennes Rocade in the rush hour. Ideally situated BUT MIND YOUR HEAD! The bunk bed over the double bed caught three out of a group of four!
