Horrible experience terrible staff

We stayed from 8-12 July, the restaurants and hotel itself was really nice but our experience, the staff and service was appalling 1. We arrived on the 8th and at the Grand they were trying to sell us to upgrade there from Nizuc. It wasn’t a nice welcome. They tried to sell their 90 minutes presentation and a couples massage. The representative was completely oblivious our 8 month old was crying and “didn’t read the room” Why would you want a couples massage if you are travelling with a baby, complete amateurs and lack of service 2. AC never worked our room was awful, no ventilation. 3. Went we left the hotel we were chased by a representative who said to us in light of the bad experience we had in the hotel they wanted to give us an offer of 40/50% discount in a future stay in the next 1.5 years. He noticed I spoke Spanish fluently and said to me just convince your husband to pay 299 USD and you get this offer. When I said can I think about it, is not a good time as we were carrying not only our luggage but the pram, car seat and all the luggage for our baby and he was like it’s now or it expires. I complained about this behaviour to the hotel, and they didn’t even reply. It’s so horrible the staff cheapens the experience and resort. I felt in a motel

Had a great Yoga session with Susy, she is perfect instructor on a cloudy morning day for yoga. If you get a chance do it, while you are in Hilton Cancun! Food was great. Get to La Luce, Italian restaurant and Vela the international restaurant. Extremely relaxing vacation with kids. There is something for everybody

Getting worse literally every time I come. No, I won’t return this time. Ever. I arrived late so I thought it’s okay spending less , how bad can it be. Very bad. Rude and lazy Girl at the reception had no clue about Diamond status check-in, room was dirty. Aircon started to turn into a waterfall 1 hr before I checked out. Good it wasn’t earlier. How in the world can a dump like this cost 75€. In a decent environment (not corrupted by mass tourism ) it would cost 25€ max. What a terrible choice. They should be ashamed of this ‚hotel‘. Seriously. Stay far away.

Just OK for a short night

Very basic hotel, I chose it because I landed late and needed to spend a short night in Cancun before I would start my road trip around the Yucatan peninsula. I didn’t want to spend too much for a hotel where I would stay less than 9 hours and needed it to be close the the car rental agency. But for the price I paid (around 40$), it’s OK. The good things about this place : its cheap, clean, there’s a good car rental agency in the same building (Nacional), and a 7/11 store on the other side of the street. The room was clean but very small and basic, it would have been depressing to stay any longer !

Does the job. Actually it was a nice surprise for an ibis hotel. The rooms are almost the same all over the world but when you arrive at 11 PM I did not want to take a really expensive hotel so this one was nice. I only stayed two days before changing to an oceanfront but not much to complain. My first room had a non working a/c reception staff was very friendly and we changed the room. The view over to the Laguna was ok. They actually have a Walmart express within the building which is very very helpful.
