Excellent links to the city center: The ibis Leipzig Nord Ost is located on the eastern outskirts of the city. Thanks to a direct tram connection, you can reach the city center with its attractions and shops in around 20 minutes. Leipzig new exhibition center, as well as the Porsche and BMW plant, are around 15 minutes drive away. Short journeys for exhibition center visits, business meetings and sightseeing. Many of the 103 spacious and welcoming rooms are newly renovated. Enjoy Leipzig.

The city center is easy to reach by tram. Leipzig has so many great places to visit for guests hoping to do some sightseeing: Belantis, Leipzig zoo, the opera house, Gewandhaus concert hall, St. Nicholas and St. Thomas churches and lots of cabaret shows.

Good enough if the City Ibis is booked up

Convenient for the tram stop (about 25 minutes ride from the City Centre) and a popular McDonalds. Arriving after dark, it was not immediately obvious where the door was. Luckily, there was someone having a chat in the car park who pointed me in the right direction. Nearly ten minutes later she deigned to come in and check me in, along with three women who had arrived before me. The whole place is a bit tired and soulless, but the room was a fraction bigger than usual, and I was on the quiet side. Breakfast was okay, although Ibis seems to be affected by an orange juice shortage. I would stay again, but only if the City Centre property is not available (as was the case this time).

No air on and on noisy road.

This was not in the Ibis Budget range but it should be - there’s no air conditioning and so the windows need to be opened for ventilation - this means opening to the noisy highway outside. The choice is to be too hot or disturbed by noise. The breakfast is basic and the staff do not respect the booking requirements for a twin room - we had a double rather than twin. The Accor system does not transfer basic membership details either, so checking in is not as seamless as at other Ibis and Accor properties. The only upsides are that it was cheap and they accepted pets. Overall, I would not book again.

Poor stay in warm weather

Walked into the room and it was like a sauna, I opened the window which did not make any difference, due to the window being open all night this meant it was very noisy from the boy racers at McDonalds (right outside our window) and the trams. The window was only open on night as the net curtain restricted it being opened wide. The curtains did not fit the window meaning there was light beaming through. Due to sweating so much from the heat in the room I tried to have a shower the next morning but the shower head kept tipping forward in the bracket as the bracket was broken, this meant I could only have a quick body wash in the shower and not wash my hair. I could not report this to reception on departure as this was in the breakfast room and it was very busy and I did not have time to wait. One other point was that several of the exits (which were also emergency exits) were missing door handles and therefore we had to go through reception to exit the building...I hope there is not a fire. I would not recommend this hotel in warm weather or if you struggle to sleep with noise however maybe in the winter this problem might not be an issue. The room itself was clean and adequate.

I would like to make it clear that of 6 doors that are emergency exits, all have a door handle as well. Only one door has no door handle and this door is not an emergency exit.
