Novotel Suva Lami Bay 4 yıldız

Great location on the bay but a bit of a disappointment given the price and Novotel’s usual quality. Room amenities are pared so far back it’s really difficult to figure out how to get what you need. There’s a small sign suggesting you WhatsApp them if you need anything. The phone is on the bedside table but doesn’t work. I arrive late, WhatsApp them asking how I order room service. No reply. So after half an hour I go down to reception and they say they’ll send me a menu. I order by WhatsApp and have no idea whether they’ve received my order or not. The room is really bare, none of the usual amenities. No iron, no pen, no small plate of fruit, no working phone, an internet ready TV that won’t connect to the Internet. There’s a modem but nothing to tell me how to connect to it. Eventually I spy a tiny sticker on it with some letters and numbers and figure these are the network and password but there’s nothing to actually tell you where to look for these or which number is which. I paid the breakfast levy but the breakfast is at about 3 star level. Piles of ready cooked eggs, some dahl, some fruit. Good coffee but minimal quality in the buffet. So I guess I’d say disappointing for a high cost Novotel’s

I took my family to Novotel Lami yesterday (11/05) to celebrate my parents' birthday together with Mother's Day. I had made the lunch reservations ages ago and also booked for a massage for my parents about a week prior to the event. I will write about the massage first then the lunch. Massage The booking was for 12.30 pm and I was running late so I sent the team an apology via email (I even called but no one answered), informing them that I was running late by about 20 mins and that they could cancel my booking if they were busy or give me another time slot if they could. There was no response to the email so I assumed they were busy. I got to the venue around 12.50pm, and walked into the spa center/office. I was informed by other people who were waiting that the masseuse was busy with another client, meaning, they had actually started off with another person's booking in the timeslot I had booked the massage for (this is where I start feeling less guilty about arriving late). I was informed by one of the people waiting that they were called up to move their massage appointment. So with no one else around to discuss the situation, I proceeded with the lunch I had made reservations for. I was called (over 3 times by the BeautyLab team) to change the time of the massage. All these interruptions while I was having lunch with my parents. At first, I agreed to wait till 3pm, then another call requesting if I could wait till 3.30pm THEN ANOTHER CALL requesting if I could wait till after 4pm or 5pm, even asking me if I could come the next day. Why on earth do I have to make another run because of the incompetence of the team? I ended up canceling the booking - extremely disappointing as I had anticipated my parents would have a nice experience. Okay so, now for the lunch. The service was average at best. Had to walk over to the counter to ask for the menu twice, we were given the Mother's Day menu but I also wanted to order from the standard menu. The food came really late, we waited for over 30 minutes (not even the drinks had been brought before that). We ate the food, it was okay. Our plates and cutlery were cleared for the next dish we had ordered, we did not receive extra plates or cutlery after! We didn't even bother asking the servers but then one of them came, saw we didn't have the plates and informed us they would bring us the plates, we thanked them. Didn't happen. Ordered dessert, they forgot to bring it to the table but did not forget to add it to the bill. I cancelled it. The service was so bad and slow, I know the servers were really busy, you could see it which is why we did not cause any trouble. But if the hotel knows that there is an event then can they not hire more people so that things run smoothly? One would think that for the amount of money you spend at the hotel, you will receive decent service. I have had better services for half the money spent in other establishments. My parents did not complain and knowing them, they probably did not say anything as they knew I was just trying to treat them to a good lunch. But this was extremely dissapointing - never again Novotel Lami.

I stayed at the Novotel Lami Bay while visiting Suva and found the hotel to be a great quiet spot. The hotel sits right on the edge of the water which provides the most amazing sunsets in the evening. The rooms are basic and quite bare, but they serve their purpose for a few nights - you'd unlikely want to stay longer than three nights as they are quite small. Breakfast and dinner were both very good which was a relief as the hotel wasn't particularly close to Suva.

I’d thoroughly enjoyed my weekend getaway here. The buffet breakfast was exactly what I needed each morning to start my day right. I loved the room — it was clean, comfortable, and housekeeping was very attentive throughout my stay. The restaurant staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. A special mention to Makelesi at the Front Office, who went above and beyond to assist me with transport back to the airport after a last-minute flight change. Thanks to her quick efforts, I was able to make my flight in time, and I’m truly grateful for her support. This wasn’t my first time staying here — I believe this is my fourth or fifth visit — and I will definitely continue coming back. I love the peacefulness and quietness of the place, especially in the evenings when you need a restful night. Thank you once again to the entire team for another wonderful experience!

Superb location, great ambience and excellent food. Service a tad slow, but very friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the locale spectacular. I was very well treated and would recommend it as a place to stay near Suva. Off street parking is a bonus, but leave plenty of time to get into Suva in the morning rush hour.
