The apartments are ok. The staff is helpful and polite, there where no problems with asking for extra towels or checkin. We had some complementary pancakes and there was free lemonade at the reception + a super cool ecological water dispenser!

This was my first time in an "aparthotel" and I like the concept: You get an actual apartment, with a lot of space and a functioning kitchen, but you also get a helpfully staffed front desk, a lobby with a work station, TV and piano, a breakfast room (if you decide to spring for breakfast) and a laundry room if you need it. There's a nice courtyard in the back, too, although it was a little too hot in Aix for me to make use of it. The location is perfect -- a short walk to the markets, restaurants, train and bus stations and venues used by the Aix-en-Provence Festival (which is why I was there). The staff were always helpful and ready to offer advice and suggestions. For people traveling with friends and family, the Adagio is a great choice, and you don't have to feel guilty (as I would in an Airbnb) that you're reducing the housing stock of the town you're visiting.

A wonderful spacious studio, generous bathroom, good sized kitchenette with fridge and a balcony. The staff were only too obliging to provide me with a fan as the air conditioning was not up and running due to recent renovations. The hotel is also close to all amenities and a short stroll to the centre of Aix. Thank you and should I ever visit again, I will book the Adagio again.

Perfectly located in Aix. Clean, modern and well-equipped studio room. Just a short walk to pastry shops, restaurants, grocery store, and bus station. The front desk staff was very helpful. The outdoor courtyard was really comfortable and a nice touch. It was also convenient that there was a washer and dryer in the lobby area. The only thing we did not like - on two of the nights we were there, tour groups held their initial meetings/receptions outside, just steps away from the private patio area of our first floor room. Honestly, it was noisy and disruptive and kind of rude. With a large courtyard area, management should have have required the tour group receptions to locate further out into the courtyard, well away from guest rooms.

The studio apartment I stayed in was comfortable, clean, and very good for my 3 week stay. The bed is very comfortable, but the lounge chair needs replacement. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, small dishwasher, microwave and 2 burner cooktop. Utensils are adequate for simple meal preparation. There are 2 grocery stores, a boucherie/charcouterie, and a boulangerie/patisserie within a 5 minute walk. The food shops have excellent food. The hotel is on a small side street off Rue de la Republique, making for a very quiet and safe location. It is 5 minutes walk to the Fountain Rotonde and another 5 minutes gets you to the bus station or the train station. The nearest city bus stop is 3 minutes away. This is a great place for an extended stay in Aix.
