Great place to stay but our visit was marred by an inconsiderate guest on our floor who, one night at 1.00 am, decided it was ok to bang on a door and shout to be let into the room. This went on for about 5 minutes before they were apparently admitted. Not the hotel's fault obviously.

Service was prompt and friendly. Restaurant was very nice and the menu was delicious. Our room was tiny so unpacking was not an option. The windows don't open which added to the claustophobic feel. The bathroom stank on occasions without any way of exhausting it. The shower constantly ran from hot to cold. I think room 388 has plumbing issues. It was impossible to cool the room off at night using the air conditioner and again no natural ventilation via the window.

I apologise sincerely for the 'plumbing' issue you raised and have just emailed our Maintenance department to have them check your room out. It is most unfortunate that this wasn't brought to our attention whilst you were here as we most certainly would have done everything in our power to remedy the situation. I'm so sorry that you were inconvenienced Heather and hope you will give us the opportunity to put this right next time - please reach out to me directly next time you make a reservation and I shall ensure that you are afforded our best attention. On Saturday 27th April my husband and I stayed at Ibis Hamilton. Having heard of recent renovations, what a shock we got. There was no Guest Info Folder or even a pen in the room and one of the power points was not working. A detachable shower rose and soft close toilet seats would enhance the small bathroom, along with make-up removal flannels. The dining room on Sunday had 1 waitress working and all available tables were dirty. The bacon was overcooked, mushrooms very dry and the sausages and coffee were awful. Another waitress arrived and we overheard their conversation about the state the kitchen was in!! The Valet parking was great. Overall, we didn't feel the value of having spent $325 to stay and be so disappointed. Friends stayed at the Novotel and said it too was very tired.  Not what we expected from the Accor group.

As part of our sustainability efforts, we don't print Hotel Compendiums and all the information found within is now sourced via a QR code which is on a card in your room. As for the situation in the restaurant, again, I can only apologise and assure you that it isn't typical of our normal standards. I have copied in the Food and Beverage Manager to your comments so that they can communicate with their teams, alerting them to the impact the situation had on your stay.
