Not much to say … only good stuff! Nice welcome at reception when we checked in earlier than planned. We got touristic advice to go around and they kept our big suitcases. We unfortunately didn’t get parking as they were full.. all reserved (NB: trip.com never discussed that we had to book the parking, this is something Accor and Trip.com should discuss about as this is now our 2nd encounter of this problem…. Coming from Malaysia and renting a car, this is not helping… we had no idea we had to reserve parking) The bedroom was very nice, pretty balcony but small bathroom… especially given the placement of the toilet…. lol. But never mind. Nice deck of the bedroom and the hotel too… themed on Christian Dior and fashion, we liked that ☺️ Last the breakfast and its location: beautiful. The view of the sea is really good, the furniture is nicely chosen, and the food is good. First time I see a « make your sunny side up eggs yourself » set in a hotel, which was cool.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the view from our room was amazing. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The welcome we received was good. The underground parking is very tight if you have a larger car, we struggled with a BMW 4 series, not for the feint hearted, they should pay you to park there instead of the other way round! The shower was lukewarm despite being on the highest setting. Also, the heating was set at 21 which normally we would find the perfect temperature, however the room was on the cold side. You have to contact reception to gain control of your room heating which is far from ideal and it would have saved a lot of time if we had been informed of this at check in or if there was a note by the heating controls. We would stay again at the right price.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, I’ve stayed here before and thoroughly enjoyed it . The reason I’ve rated as average is twofold , water in shower was at best Luke warm and the A/c was set very cold . We contacted reception who told us that the room heat was controlled by them . This should have been explained at check in. We agreed with reception that we could control our own room temperature ongoing , upon return after dinner the temperature had been increased by them to 24! Making the room uncomfortably stuffy . The views are amazing, however, the GREEN brigade seems to have taken control ! Parking is extra €12 , be brave though it’s very very tight ! Electric parking better placed and again €12 with a charge up , a bargain !

The room was clean and comfortable, but this hotel is not really suitable for elderly people. It is up a very steep hill, car park is a nightmare, but they did warn us! There is a lift to some 52 concrete spiral, unlit stairs to the promenade, otherwise it’s going up and down a seriously steep hill. Don’t use stairs at night unless you have a touch. The bathroom shower tray is also slippery when wet.

We usually stay in Ibis but for this trip we wanted an upgraded experience. A nice hotel, nice location, sea view, all rooms with balconies, all seemed very promising, planned to be one of the highlights of our Normandy trip. However. Booked on purpose a room with seaview (as opposed to city view), at a hefty surcharge. Upon arrival they gave us a room on ground floor (hotel is on a large hill). What a disappointment. The "seaview" of our room actually was terrace view (terrace of the hotel). Through chairs, people, and salty terrace windows one could see some glimpse of the sea. All higher floors have a perfect free and full view at the sea, the boulevard promenade, and the beach. Upon our inquiry, the reception person said he could not do anything for us (a long-standing Accor member) as the rooms on the higher floors were said to be reserved... Very strange, never heard of a hotel where rooms are specifically reserved by room number or by floor. A very big disappointment, not worth the money, and also very disappointed by the reluctance of the staff to find a decent resolution. Therefore, a strong recommendation when making "seaview" reservation at this hotel: do not accept groundfloor "seaview" rooms. And then I will not further complain about various doubtful stains in carpet, the room windows not cleaned from the salty water (a misty view), and the average breakfast (more Ibis level than Mercure level). I offered the hotel staff to respond to my complaint, but never received any reaction.
