Rude , unprofessional and cruel staff

Our family was on a 3 day visit to rajasthan for a vacation and our uncle booked 3 rooms for 2 nights at the Ibis , we got to the hotel at about 12:30 am. My uncle is a Indian citizen and we were his guest , we presented our visa , ID’s and photos of our passport with our valid international drivers licences issued by Australian government but the adamant and rude staff at reception refused us entry as they wanted to see our passports, the Accor group website clearly mentions that for international travellers valid visa and 1 valid ID ( which includes drivers licence ) can be presented , we presented all documents required but were still denied our booking , also the staff didn’t let us speak with any senior management and didn’t take into consideration that we had a 4 Year old CHILD travelling with us . At 1 pm in the middle of the night we were left outside to make other alternate arrangement with a 4 year old child. The hotel staff was rude and didn’t even had the compassion that they are sending a family out of the hotel at 1 pm with a child on board . We were not given any refunds for our booking. We manage to get a booking at Marriott Jaipur after that and the staff there was very welcoming and compassionate. We have travelled and stayed at many hotels around the world but never experienced such rude, unprofessional and cruel behaviour by any hotel staff ever. Will never stay at ibis premises again and would definitely not recommend families at this unprofessional hotel.

At ibis hotels, we strictly follow government regulations and brand compliance policies regarding guest identification. As per these guidelines, original passports are mandatory for all foreign nationals at the time of check-in, irrespective of visa status or alternate IDs. Unfortunately, copies or photographs of passports cannot be accepted, and this requirement is non-negotiable under local law. That said, we are deeply concerned about your feedback regarding the manner in which the situation was handled. Courtesy, empathy, and professionalism—especially in sensitive situations involving families—are values we take very seriously. Your comments regarding staff behavior and the lack of escalation to senior management have been noted and will be thoroughly reviewed with the concerned teams to ensure corrective action and retraining where required. Regarding the refund, we regret that we were unable to process it at the time due to check-in requirements not being met. However, your case will be reviewed internally, and the reservations team will reach out separately if any resolution is possible. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, as it helps us identify gaps and improve our guest handling procedures. Je suis restée 15 jours dans l’hôtel ibis de Jaipur, et je recommande sans hésitation. Très bon emplacement pour visiter la ville, très proche du métro, possibilité de prendre aussi un tuktuk ou un Uber devant l’hôtel. Présence de garde de sécurité à l’entrée de l’hôtel, accueil chaleureux à la réception, personnel à l’écoute, souriant, toujours prêt à rendre service ou à nous conseiller. Hall très accueillant, plusieurs sofa pour se poser, livres à disposition, baby-foot, jeu d’échec, musique, on se sent bien dans cet environnement. L’espace restauration est sympa, le petit déjeuner est super et varié. On a pris plusieurs fois des plats pour les repas, c’était excellent, mention spécial pour le paneer tikka qui était délicieux. Bon organisation, l’equipe de restauration est au petit soin, souriant et aimable. Les chambres sont propres, le lit est exceptionnel. Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin dans les chambres (bouilloire, thé, cintres pour les vêtements, sèche cheveux, shampooing, gel douche, soin cheveux, crème pour le corps…), le linge est changé régulièrement. Et surtout présence d’eau chaude à n’importe quelle heure, petit détail qui fait son importance en Inde. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe houseskipping pour leur travail et leur gentillesse. Enfin le petit plus c’est la piscine en rooftop qui permet de se rafraîchir que ce soit avant ou après les excursions, il y a aussi une petite salle de sport et un SPA. Merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel qui veille à ce que le séjour se déroule le mieux possible, merci pour leur professionnalisme. Je suis venue plusieurs fois en Inde et c’est l’un des meilleurs hôtel (rapport qualité/prix) que j’ai pu faire. Nous devons revenir en 2026 et c’est sure que nous reviendrons ici.

Erfüllt den bekannten Ibis-Standard nicht. Betten sind durch, Dusche wartet mit warmem Wasser. Miese Lage, chaotisch befahrene Straße lässt es kaum zu, zu 300 Meter entferntem Restaurant zu laufen. Professioneller Check-In, Frühstück gut.

Wij hebben een prima verblijf daar gehad. De kamer was schoon en netjes echter de housekeeper liet wel wat steekjes vallen. De bediening in het restaurant overtroffen onze verwachtingen want ze hebben aten erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam!
