Two star hotel masquerading as a higher quality hotel - No English spoken

This is a 2 star hotel masquerading as something much better. In Europe it is known for being a good two star hotel with clean beds - that is all that you get over here as well. The staff does not speak English - figure on using Google to translate what you want and then good luck on getting it. Service is below average and the staff will not try to go out of their way to help you. Case in point, I stayed there for 2 nights and was leaving early in the morning around 6:30 am to catch a flight - even though the buffet was almost ready, they would not let anyone (there were other guests as well), grab a croissant just o have something to eat - they insisted that it opened at 7am and that was it. BTW, the buffet is nothing but a continental breakfast with a few choices of bread - nothing much to talk about. If you do partake, plan to be early when breakfast opens because once the trays empty, the staff does not replenish them. I learnt that the first morning when I went there and all that was left was some toast and jam. Constantine lacks a good three or four star hotel except for the Marriott - I had dinner there one night and while it does not meet American Marriott standards, they were better than what is available in this city.

Perfect hosts in every way - generous, welcoming, kind, cheerful, helpful, caring, energetic, enthusiastic, responsive. M. Boukerzaza and M. Malek Belambri took great care of me months before actual arrival. We communicated regularly for trip planning. M. Boukerzaza was magnificent - she checked on me pre arrival and post departure to ensure safety and progress of trip. She outperformed in every way to ensure successful trip for me. Thank you. I felt less of a hotel guest but more like a relative, family. I am grateful and felt incredibly lucky to find them. Truly outstanding guest relations, top rated guest service. Thank you again, M. Boukerzaza and M. Malek

JUST AVERAGE HOTEL My recent hotel experience was a mixed bag The welcome was genuinely warm, which was a great start However, the room itself wasn't clean I noticed cut corners on the nightstand and hairs on the bathroom floor, which was disappointing On the bright side, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the parking attendants were very kind The breakfast was decent enough to get the day started.

4/5 for Novotel in general.

Small beds, but over all ok. No suplies in rooms like cup for coffee, but there is a kettle. Nice view. Breakfast had a nice choice. Compering Adef in Oran, Novotel looks like luxury. Very polite staff, people on reception speak english. Over all, nice experience. Wifi was ok in the rooms, and other parts of hotel.

The hotel looks like a typical Novotel. The room was nice overall but the bathroom shower needs work. Lots of rusty parts. The coldest temperature setting was too hot and the pressure wasnt good. I think these are the worst pillows I've ever felt. Very had and lumpy, like pieces of hard foam that were split apart. The sheets weren't very smooth either. If I ever come back, I might try the ibis. I think these two places are where more business people stay.
