Staff extremely friendly and helping with all our requests to help manage the family stay. Breakfast with many options, most of them local, all items were fresh. Location is perfect if you plan to visit places outside of Siracusa, which was our case. For dining at Ortigia we had to park just before the island and then have a short walk, while if you visit during the day is probably to take the public bus around the corner of the hotel (frequency every 20-25min, until 21h00 or 9pm).

A bog standard modern hotel, but a long 2km+, 30min walk to the old city, somehow i got the impression it was closer, it is in town as such but not in an area a tourist would want to be in. otherwise sure there's nothing wrong as such with the hotel.

While we understand that perceptions of distance can vary, we would like to highlight that our location offers privileged access to numerous cultural and historical attractions. Just 200 meters from the hotel is the Neapolis Archaeological Park, one of the most important in Europe, which houses treasures such as the Greek Theatre and the Ear of Dionysius. Additionally, we are close to the Romanesque Church of San Giovanni and the Paolo Orsi Regional Archaeological Museum, which are must-see destinations for art and history enthusiasts. At this time, the Neapolis Archaeological Park is also hosting the extraordinary exhibition of Polish sculptor Igor Mitoraj, an exhibit that invites reflection on the relationship between humans and nature, further enriching our guests' experience. We greatly appreciate your suggestions, which will help us improve communication with our future guests. We stayed at the Mercure for an extended amount of time due to family illness. The receptionists and all the staff could not have been more helpful. They extended our booking many times and helped with taxis and other logistics. There is a lovely breakfast and also a rooftop pool.

We chose this hotel primarily for its free private parking and closeness to the Archaelogical Park. The 20 minute walk to the nucleus of city centre restaurants and Ortigia island was no hardship. The modern hotel had every facility catered for including roof top swimming pool, restaurant and spa. Our spacious bedroom was attractively decorated with comfortable king sized bed, fridge, large safe and full size walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast covered all our needs with the warm artisan croisants particularly appreciated.

I chose this hotel because it’s close to the Greek Theatre. Convenient, clean, with a rooftop pool: everything as expected. I found the idea of carving out the bathroom in a corner of the room and enclosing it with a glass wall (compromising privacy significantly) quite bizarre. The free parking is definitely inadequate, but we had been warned about this. Functional for Greek tragedy enthusiasts.
