Mercure Bunbury Sanctuary Golf Resort 4 Sterne

On a week long visit to W.A. we stayed two different nights at this hotel. Everything about this hotel is of a high standard. Just be mindful that the meals can be extremely large, depending what you order. Still of a very high standard.

Dined at the restaurant but didn’t stay in accommodation as we live locally. Ordered Basque Cheesecake for desert. It was dry with a black burnt crust on top and side, but most importantly so dry it was unpalatable. Waitress discussed with chef who confirmed that was how it was supposed to be. I was offered a replacement and declined as my wife had finished eating. They still charged me for the item. It will be a long time, if ever, I return to this restaurant.

The room we stayed in was a newly redecorated room. There was no storage to put clothes away. Seeing as we had 3 nights would have been nice to unpack instead of living out of a suitcase. Also the grout in the shower was old and mouldy. Enjoyed the restaurant and bar area. Loved the golf. Lovely spot to get away.

Wir übernachteten hier zwei Nächte. Das Zimmer war für unseren Preis sehr gut und direkt mit Blick auf den Golfplatz. Ordentliches Hotel mit gutem Restaurant. Frühstück auch ok. Da wir hier auch eine Runde Golf gespielt haben war es für uns ideal.

Das Hotel ist eigentlich ganz ok. Etwas unpersönlich und ohne Extras. Der Service lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Unser Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt, doch damit konnten wir leben und reklamierten auch nicht. Nach unserer Abreise wurden aber nochmals 100 Dollar verrechnet, weil wir einen kleinen Gartentisch auf unseren Balkon stellten und weil wir anscheinend einen Fleck auf dem Teppich hinterlassen haben. Wir nahmen natürlich Kontakt mit dem Manager der Hotels und wollten ein Bild des Schadens und eine Erklärung. Der Mann war mit unserer Bitte überfordert und rundete das schlechte Bild des Hotels perfekt ab. Das gibt jetzt halt nur einen von fünf Punkten.
