I was fortunate to book a room for two nights early this month, when so many top hotels in the area, including Avenue Bourguiba, were full of delegates attending the Junior Chamber International (JCI) World Congress in the Tunisian capital. Having friends who frequented the Congress's main venue, another hotel just a stone's throw away, I was fortunate to be able to pop in and out whenever I pleased several times throughout the day. Despite my frequent comings and goings, the staff, from the cleaning staff to security, were always cheerful and welcoming, and this made me feel very much at home. In particular, I would like to mention the two fellows at security (whose names I have forgotten) and a lovely young woman at reception, Safa Ben Zafri, who was very helpful in making me another key when I had lost mine. I am booked again this weekend, so I am looking forward to staying at my home away from home, in Tunis.

Stayed here with a family member for three nights, while sightseeing in Tunis. We arrived at about 2230, and our reservations for two rooms were waiting for us. Mohammad, the clerk who checked us in was extremely helpful and provided accurate advice about taxi fares and tour drivers the next morning. He explained he worked in the nearby Ibis Styles hotel but was filling in at this hotel for the evening. The rooms were comfortable but old; the air conditioning was excellent; plenty of hot water in the shower. The beds were decent and all the electrical outlets ere operational. Breakfast was decent, but nothing to brag about. About 1900, Saturday, 21 Sep, I went to the front desk to exchange money before going out for dinner. I had some dinars but wanted a few extra - the female desk clerk apologized and said she did not have any cash to exchange. We discussed the location of the nearest ATM etc. Finally, she reached in her purse, and handed me about 20 dinars to have with me as extra funds for taxi etc. We returned after dinner, and the lady receptionist still did not have any dinars. I paid for her advance in my local currency. This lady, whose name I do not know, went above and beyond and essentially lent me money from her own personal funds. I strongly recommend this hotel use this lady in a position of additional responsibility. I would return to this hotel if in the area

Fairly clean and comfy, even by western standards. The rooms only have a single double bed. My son and I stayed here for two nights during the Eid weekend. The staff were very accommodating. They called a cab to the airport for us at 3.30am and it was there in minutes. Breakfast selections were fine, including an omelet and meat tray. Dinner was also acceptable, altho there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area.

I would like to thank the Ibis team for their commitment, a special thanks to Hamza and Sameh from the reception. The management of Ibis should repair the second elevator as it takes more waiting time. You also need to improve the quality of the internet signal. The rest of the service was perfect

A standard Ibis hotel close to the City of Culture and Avenue Habib. Rooms were as one would expect and there is ample guest parking. The car park attendant was a lovely, cheery chap, which is more than could be said for some of the bar staff here. We are well aware that alcohol is considered haraam in Islamic countries .. but this hotel serves alcohol, and as such, it should not be served with a sneer.
