Well located hotel in Bilbao centre with plenty of dining & breakfast options nearby. For this reason we didnt take the hotel breakfast option. As a gold Accor member we were upgraded to a premium room on arrival which was fabulous, twice the size of a regular Ibis room with large comfy bed, tea & coffee facilities and a small fridge. Also, this was a quiet room at the back of the hotel overlooking a small courtyard. It was a pleasant 15 minute walk to the Guggenheim and a similar distance in the other direction to the San Mames stadium for the football. Pets allowed for an extra charge and there is underground parking with direct access by lift into the hotel. Handy if its raining as it was when we arrived. I wouldnt hesitate to stay again and we are already planning another trip there in September

Centrally located with about a fifteen minute walk to the river. The staff on reception were v helpful & friendly, we were told to avoid a certain part of the city which did concern me a bit but I had no need to worry I felt very safe. We booked a premium room which was at the back of the hotel, clean, comfortable, very spacious & quiet. The breakfast choice was excellent in fact I think it’s the best breakfast I’ve had whilst staying in an Ibis. There is also secure parking for €11 a day.

It is located not far from the Center of Bilbao. One part of the Hotel is bordering a sketchy area ( some boulevard in between). Typical IBIS, minimalist rooms . I have to admit WiFi is much better than I expected. Since I was in Bilbao for a business trip and I was running out of options , I choose IBIS . But the rate was enormously high for such a basic hotel. I don’t get it why in Bilbao these kind of Hotels charge a lot. Mostly I was in the room for sleeping and haven’t tried any extras ( what extras is better question, options are limited ). I would certainly will try to avoid this hotel next time I am in Bilbao . Too much charge for basic service

Reception: David at reception was fantastic. At our arrival at 1.00 am in the morning he explained all the sites of Bilbao, what to see and where not to go. Room / facilities: After our first night, we moved from a street facing room which was very noisy, to a new room, that was rear facing and quiet, room number 435 is on the 4th floor and is quiet clean, except for previous guest finger nails remaining on the seat in the room. There is a semi self control air conditioning that allowed fan use, with a window that partially opens. In typical IBIS tradition, a minimalistic approach is taken. The room has very comfortable king bed small bedside tables, small hanging and shelf area, bench that doubles as a third bed and the typical compact functional bathroom pre built pod. There is a good size flat screen TV. Not unusual to IBIS, we found that during our first shower that the liquid soap had not been refilled and was empty. A quick call to David at reception corrected this and he delivered a full bottle of liquid soap to our room. The room does no have a safe, fridge, tea or coffee facilities, however there is a water cooler at the lift/ elevator for bottle refil. Laundry: There is no onsite coin operates laundry, but there is a “Eco laundry” self service coin laundry 50m from the hotel with 4 washers and 2 dryers, cost varies from €5-10 per wash depending on KG and from €3-5 per 15 minutes timed dry. Parking: is available at an additional cost Wifi: Complementary and good speed. Validation required. Breakfast: Available for additional cost, but not utilised on this stay. Conclusion: Great central located hotel, with an easy walk to everywhere in Bilbao city. Letdowns: Street noise from street facing rooms. Lack of attention from cleaners whom don’t refill toiletries or clean other guest finger nails from chairs. Location / Nearby: Lidl supermarket 100m, self service laundry 50m, bus station is 10 min walk straight up the street the hotel is on. Bilbao City is all round the hotel, Attractions are an easy walk in all directions. Recommendations: For a quieter stay, request a “internal” room that does not face the street, as you won’t get any of the noise from late night venues or street and street maintenance noise. Getting to hotel: If arriving by car, best use GPS. Airport public bus 3247, caters for luggage and will get you within 700m of the hotel and the walk is on flat ground.

Nice hotel, very good location, plenty of bars and good restaurants in the neighbourhood, very friendly staff, very helpful. A pleasure to stay there. Public transport at a small distance. Many thanks for advising us some good local restaurants.
