Good value hotel very close to the centre (5-10 min walk). Check was easy ,breakfast was goos and the staff were very helpful. Lit was a great waiter looking after us with a bis smile and nothing was a problem.

There's room for improvement

It's very convenient for the city centre events and there is car parking on site but they charge you for the privilege. Staff are friendly and we had a delicious evening meal in the bar/restaurant but the positives end there. The room was disappointing, there was a large hole in the duvet cover, a badly stained towel, no lightbulb in the table light and the shower leaked badly all over the bathroom floor as the seal is on backwards. The tv has a message about Chromecasting from your phone and we spent quite some time trying to achieve this but failed. I followed the recommended method of contacting staff for assistance by using their chat feature but had no response to my query. I raised this at reception the next morning and received an apology, apparently the Chromecasting system was not working. I have yet to receive a reply to my chat message. Breakfast was adequate but the cooked food was barely warm and if you wanted eggs other than scrambled they wanted a premium of £2 per egg!
