I’d certainly stay here again. More Sofitel than Novotel. I had a suite, 1451 city view for 6 nights for new year. The rooms are lovely and the linen is great quality as are all the amenities and the mini bar reasonably priced. All staff encountered were helpful and friendly. Certainly a great spot for new year as is Florianópolis. The breakfast is good, but the restaurant is not great at night time but plenty of other options nearby. Only a couple of minor room for improvements, a new weight bench for the gym and the pool infinity edge needs fixing but otherwise an amazing stay.

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past, which makes it particularly disappointing to see how noticeably the standard has declined. What was once a polished, friendly property now feels indifferent to the guest experience. From the moment of arrival, the shortcomings were apparent. At check-in, no information was provided at all—no explanation of hotel services, no guidance on breakfast, amenities, or even basic logistics. This lack of communication set a poor tone and felt surprisingly unprofessional for a hotel in this category. Most unacceptable, however, was the fact that the room was not ready at the agreed check-in time. This is not a minor inconvenience but a fundamental failure, and at this price point it is simply not excusable. Guests plan their arrival around the promised check-in time, and failing to honour it shows a disregard for both time and expectations. Having been a returning guest, this decline is especially disappointing. I won’t be coming back.

We booked a room the same day because our flight to SP was canceled and we needed to spend one extra night in the city after having already checked out from our previous stay. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport, and the ride was smooth. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Our room was clean and had a partial beach view. The location is great. I also had the chance to use the gym—it has a decent amount of equipment, though no free weights. The pool area is small, but the view is beautiful. Breakfast offered a good selection, and the service was attentive. My only complaint is that I needed an invoice ( nota fiscal) and it took a few days and several phone calls to receive it. ( My phone is not from Brazil). I don’t understand why it can’t be provided at check-out. I’d like to thank Rafael Padilha at the front desk for helping make this happen. ( i spoke previously with Franciele, Daniel and Cristiano but nothing) It’s not a cheap hotel, but it was convenient, and I would consider staying there again.

Loved my time at Novohotel! Great location, super comfy rooms, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was really nice—big shoutout to Caio who was super helpful. Definitely recommend!

Location is the best. Request for a special room was granted almost inmediately. Staff was gentle and nice to our requests with speciial thanks to Caio. Breakfadt was the high point of stay. Recommended 100%.
