Semi cheap and nice

Simple good budget ackommodation. Clean and nice staff. Well situated close to subway station and good restaurants around it. Cheapish for Sydney and sort the monies.

This was overall a good stay. The bed was extremely comfortable - was quite surprised. But other than that the room is very budget. You get what you pay for, I guess. The area is okay - a few minutes walk to the train station. Had parking which was convenient - just note it is $30 per night.

Not a very good choice, no elevator from the hotel entrance to reception, need take stairs

Room is big, and a extra pull down bed, price is not worth, washroom need to up grade, no shower door/curtain, no ventilation fan, when you close the door and take a hot shower, the air is thick. location is ok, 5 min walk to Kings cross station, and about 20 min from museum station (airport train). Hotel buffet breakfast is not much choice, but there are a lot of breakfast place around.

Book somewhere else !

We have visited this hotel twice during our time in Australia and on both occasions we have found it to be poor. On the first visit we had booked a room for 4 adults via Booking.com and when we arrived late at night the room was only for 3. We were told to make do and then they would sort in the morning. Unfortunately we had already prepaid for a second stay as part of our trip and the room we had was shocking - damp on the walls, very small and with a shower that constantly went from freezing to scalding. Also during the night there was a fire alarm and there was no guidance or instruction from the night staff and we were unconvinced of how a real evacuation would be handled. The location is great and yes this is a budget hotel but even so you should be able to expect some standards from an Ibis branded hotel - try somewhere else !

Good spot for your buck.

When we arrived the reception was kind, polite and friendly with our late arrival. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble when we asked for extra milk & sugar. Room was basic (as you would expect) but clean and had the necessary amenities needed. The cleaners were polite and offered extra sugar & coffee. All in all, for the price we paid it was a good deal. Only wine downer, the coffee machine in the breakfast lounge broke down. (It happens)
